Hi everyone!
I'm having trouble installing Mojave on my SSD:
My Mojave installation freezes at 2 minutes left. The mouse pointer frozen, I've left it for 1 hour, but no luck :/ I've created Two bootable USB: the first with Unibeast and the second with terminal and clover. Can you help me please??? I'm new about hackintosh topic and this is my first one.
CPU: I5 8400
Mother: Asus ROG STRIX B360-F GAMING
GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GTX 1050 OC

Thanks a lot.

  • If you are trying to install Mojave 10.14.X with Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 2GB OC as your GPU, it will not succeed as Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 is not supported in 10.14.X.
    • Ideally, it is better to remove that PCIE Graphics from its slot and use another one that is natively supported or use a working Integrated Intel HD.
  • For a successful installation the following conditions must be fully met:
    • CPU, MoBo and Graphics must be supported by macOS Mojave to create Mojave Hackintosh.
      • In your case PCIE Graphics is not supported and Integrated Intel HD 630 can be made to work
    • The EFI Folder contents (CLOVER/drivers64UEFI+CLOVER_kexts_Other+ ACPI_Patched if any+CLOVER_config.plist_ALL SECTIONS) should be configured properly to support the hardware chosen to install the System.
    • The BIOS options chosen should be able to help CLOVER boot the macOS USB Installer disk and the Installed System disk.
    • The System SSD or HDD must be partitioned in GUID and formatted in APFS [NOT HFS+J like the macOS Mojave USB Installer Flash Disk or System disks in prior macOSes like 10.13.x]
  • If you don't succeed to install Mojave on your HDD/SSD, you have to check this whole chain from downloaded macOS Mojave Installer's shasum value all the way to Partition and file structure of System Disk.
  • The statement "I have followed the Installation Guide faithfully " or "I purchased the hardware from a list I have seen in the Forum" is no substitute for a thorough review of this entire Hackintosh creation process from how you got the Installer to how you installed it on the hard disk and gave it the needed kexts, Bootloader and configuration file for any missed or wrong steps.
  • No Installation GUIDE can be be a Perfect Installation Manual for all different hardware people choose to build their Hackintosh.
  • To get help from a Forum, you have to show all your cards to those who will be willing to help. Those who want to help has no way to see what is displayed on the User's Monitor screen and manipulated with Keyboard and Mouse inputs by the User.
    • Th following items uploaded to the Forum can help in Forum Troubleshoot.
      • CLOVER from the USB Installer as a Zipped file uploaded to the Forum.
      • The BIOS options used for the boot (both the changed options and the default ones used in BIOS)
      • The way the System Disk is Partitioned and Formatted
      • Verbose boot screen and the number of reboots done after Hard disk installation had begun before the current "2 minutes remaining" freeze occurred.

Try to restart manually.

Also you can add EmuVariableUefi-64.efi in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI after creating bootable USB drive using unibeast. The solution is described here.

After that (second reboot) you may stuck another "13 mins to remaining" screen. Which can be solved by replacing AptioMemoryFix.efi with OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi or OsxAptioFixDrv3-64.efi in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI. Use one driver only each time. Link

It's working!!! Thanks a lot guys.

MrColo what actually worked? How did you resolve your issue? I am having a similar issue with my install - freezes with 2 minutes remaining.

All good - I had to do all of the above to get past my issue!

Used APFS instead of HFS+J
Added EmuVariableUefi-64.efi in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI
Replaced AptioMemoryFix.efi with OsxAptioFixDrv3-64.efi in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI
And then I had to keep manually rebooting every time the install froze - and picking the drive I was install Mojave on - within the Clover boot options.

Hello Poles,

I had the same problem and the freezing was solved by your suggestion. But the "13 minutes remaining" wasn't. I used both EmuVariableUefi-64.efi and OsxAptioFixDrv3-64.efi.
Please let me know if you can think of anything that would help me.

Thanks :)

Which Clover or Multibeast version you are using?

Haven't used multibeast yet as I still didn't get to the login screen. I downloaded a ready EFI (attached) and replaced the files to match your suggestion.

Now I changed strategy and I followed this guide. After a successful installation from the external drive the computer reboots. Then I go and select the internal drive. It goes all the way to "About 15 minutes" screen and reboots after a few seconds.
