[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI

I had no success when using both Clover configurations.

Config from post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...r-1080p-using-clover-uefi.261723/post-1915886 resulted in boot stuck at 40%. I could hear macOS error sound when pressing enter. Using sequence FN+F1, Alt to simulate sleep turned screen black but I could not wake it back up even for one second. I was stuck on a completely black screen.

Using config from post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...r-1080p-using-clover-uefi.261723/post-1907536 resulted in exactly the same behaviour as I reported first. Black screen after 50%. FN+F1, Alt key sequence could only wake login screen up for half a second before turning black again.

I am back to using ig-platform-id 0x12345678

In both configurations changing ig-platform-id to 0x12345678 from clover options allowed normal boot with 32MB graphics. I also noticed that using ig-platform-id 0x12345678 results in an unnaturally long boot taking more than 1 minute total.

In any case, you must provide problem reporting files for any scenario you tried.
(read FAQ)
No way to know what you're really doing without them.

Thanks, I will try those configs today and post the results here.

Try Araske clover folder and turn the system on while charger pluged in this will give u the full working display after getting the screen u can remove the charger and it will work fine.

i am using like this as i cant figure out the issue

My laptop is always connected to the charger and it didn't give me a working display when I tried Asrake config.

I installed Mac on my Y50-70, I have 1536MB VRAM using my HD4600, but my internal screen is pitch black. If I connect to a external monitor with HDMI it works, but the internal screen remains black. I have QE/CI, everything works as it should, only the internal display is black.
Does anybody has any idea what's wrong?
BIOS set to Legacy boot but UEFI first.

You setup looks ok.
Check BIOS version/BIOS options.

It's set as your guide said.
I looked at Lenovo's site, this is the newest version.

EDIT: I think I will downgrade my BIOS to 1.14. I saw the guide said something about 1.14, will try it.
