[Guide] Booting the OS X installer on LAPTOPS with Clover

Hi,

Mojave 10.14.3
HP ProOne 440 g4 All-in-One

CPU: Core i3 8100T
Chipset: Q370,
SDS: NVME Kingston 240Gb
8Gb DDR4

Display: 1920x1080 connected like LVDS

I try config_UHD630 but give a black screen.

Could only install with options:
  • ig-platform-id: 0x3E9B0007
  • AAPL,ig-platform-id: 07009B3E
  • inject intel
But haven't acceleration :(

Thx for help

Please fix your profile as requested in post #1/FAQ.

Also, open a separate thread with complete problem reporting files (again, as per FAQ).

Still not fixed. Screen resolution is missing. Please read the FAQ carefully.

You can find all the files needed and the picture in the zip below. I also fixed the profile.

a) When I try to boot with with CSM enabled I get an error allocating pages at 0x260 or something like that. If you need a picture just tell me and I will upload it here. So I need to calculate the slide. The problem is that HP doesn't implement all the functions of the UEFI so I can't launch any shell. (Clover's shell doesn't launch, it's stuck on the underscore sign)

b) If I boot without CSM, it boots fine but I get artifacts all over the place I can't see what's going on so native UEFI is the solution I tink

c) If I boot with Osxaptio (old driver) it works fine but I get EFIRuntime timeout because of the inexistent NVRAM support.

d) If I boot with Osxaption + EmuVariableEFI, Clover won't load at alll (I can't see the boot menu screen and it's stuck on black screen)

Hey Guys ,

HP Elitebook 8560p (i7 2620m) no gpu

I'm not able to boot the installer at all, stuck at 50% loading then Logo goes to stop sign thats it.
I can't boot with the similar 8470p EFI Folder editing the config won't help.

I always work with unibeast had never problems with it. I was almost always able to boot the installer!
With my Lenovo Y50-70 np and for my PC with MSI Z370-A-Pro motherboard i had to add specific kext file for it to boot.

There is no helpfull Guide to find at this point i read all of them and used all different EFI Folders the problem is the same stuck at 50% ...

Am i missing some kext or settings in my clover config to boot? Config are default, prekext and updated kext give me the same.

verbose gives me "AppleUsbHostRessources" repeating 5-10 times then stuck there.
Should i use an usb 2.0 stick i thought usb 3.0 is down 2.0 compatible ...

I hope u guys can help me.

make sure to use a usb2.0 stick

make sure to use a usb2.0 stick

It's not the USB stick I was using the same stick without any problem on my Laptop and PC...

With the default EFI folder created by unibeast i get the problem
with the 8470p EFI Folder wich is similar to mine it crashed i figured out that the ssdt.aml makes it crash removing that results in acpi parcing failure ...

I read the last few pages here and one guy seems to have the same problem with the "AppleUsbHostRessources" problem
How did he fixed his it's not really clear how he solved or even if he solved the issue.
@Euro321

after 20h into that i pretty much gave up

is @RehabMan here?

As per rules, please update your hardware profile to allow others to help you easier

please read the faq for proper hardware profile setup:

also you haven't uploaded your problem reporting files

@Feartech updated it.

i think i have described the problem really well if pictures are really needed I will upload them ...

Do I need a specific clover config.plist for the intel hd 3000 to boot the installer?
The kext files like fakesmc, etc. I used the pre ones and the updated ones it's the same.

hd3000 is not supported on Mojave, you can use High Sierra

Try different "aptio fix" solutions. Details in post #1.
Also, may be USB problem... read FAQ/etc regarding FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext. Make sure you try all USB ports. Make sure you're using a USB2 stick.

Per post #1, use USB2 stick.

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.
