Noted. I'll update the guide shortly. Glad you got it figured out!Hello Vettz500 i'm back at work and everything is working you are absolutly right about thunderbolt it's not handling hotplug and my apollo is working fine
but you should mention in the guide to change the thunderbolt parameter to "no security" if not osx won't work with thunderbolt peripheral but seems to work with usbc peripherals
When i put no security my audio device is detected and works exactly as on a mac except for hot pluging
I hope this will help and thanks for all the work you've done for razer blade owners it was a pleasure to follow this guide !
I have yet to get this error when using the script. I'll look into it and update the guide.That worked flawlessly. Very impressed how great this works now. I finally upgraded to the latest version, and no issues. DP works fine too (with the latest Nvidia driver).
For anyone using installinstallmacos.py (to upgrade to 2208) and it fails with one of these errors:
ERROR_B14B14D9B7
ERROR_2062F74259
ERROR_B85E600482
Edit 091-95774.English.dist with sudo (it's in the subfolders under where the script was ran from) and change function InstallationCheck to this;
JavaScript:function InstallationCheck(prefix) { return true; }
You might want to add this to the guide vettz500. This function will often fail because the pre-req's are not met on the
hackintosh.
The latest version of High Sierra if you want 100% functionality. The only thing that doesn't work in Mojave is the Nvidia card, still no drivers for it. If you don't care about using the Nvidia card (HDMI and mini display ports) then you can just go with Mojave.Hey everyone, I'll be receiving RB 15 2018 144hz soon and I was wondering what's the best option to go as of this time now - High Sierra or Mojave? Or they both have 100% support and no issues as this point of guide? Thanks!
There are only a handful that work with OSX. The WiFi section of this thread explains the ones you can use here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/Guys, does anyone know any better wifi card that will work with this laptop for hackintosh?
You'll have to post this in the VoodooI2C support thread.My mouse keeps moving after I use the trackpad. Any idea how to fix this issue? I followed this guide along with Rehabman's guide (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/). I'm using an early 2016 Razer Blade. Here is a video example I posted on ****** of my issue( ). Thank you in advance.
What NVMe are you using?Hi vettz500,
thank you for the effort you put into the guide! I just got my new Blade with the RTX 2070 and tried using your guide to install Mojave. I can boot up the installer fine but I'm getting random freezes. Sometimes it will freeze early on in disk utility, sometimes after the first reboot. Most of the time it hangs on a couple minutes left during the first install stage.
Do you (or someone else) know how to debug this?
Cheers!

The Evo Plus has been reported to be incompatible with OSX right now. It's a new drive and apparently the controller does not play well with Mac products. You'll get the same issues that the stock NVMe gets, which is random freezes when trying to get into the installer or during the install itself and system instability if you do somehow get the install to complete.I'm using the Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB. I didn't swap the wifi card yet, could that be the problem? (still using th Intel one, not expecting it to work)
The Evo Plus has been reported to be incompatible with OSX right now. It's a new drive and apparently the controller does not play well with Mac products. You'll get the same issues that the stock NVMe gets, which is random freezes on install, or shortly after getting the install to start and system instability if you do somehow get the install to complete.
The WiFi card will not cause these issues. It just won't work.
