[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Is a different USB patch needed for 10.14.3 or the 10.14.3 supplemental update ?
It seems my installer has the supplemental update already applied, and my keyboard (old apple one) on HS09 or HS10 is inactive once the mojave installer is loaded.
It's working on the HS07 hub though, so not sure it's a big issue.

I've had numerous Phase 2 fails using a SanDisk Ultra Fit 64G usb key, it went a bit further after I switched to a lexar CF card reader and - ironically - a Sandisk CF.
I managed to reach the end of phase 2, and got a KP on the graceful reboot. I can now select 'boot from Mojave' in Clover, but gets KP every time (can't see what happens exactly though). Since I have no recovery partition available I suspect the install was not totally successful.

Need a break now cause I've been battling for hours, but if you guys have some ideas on what I could try next this would be very much appreciated!

Thanks
Some progress here, looks like the install succeeded : I have all the expected entries in Clover now.

What I did from here :
  • try to 'boot from Mojave' => KP
  • boot from Recovery, did the kextcache thing, reboot
  • another attempt at booting from Mojave => KP
  • shutdown, unplug, plug the AC back
  • try to boot from Mojave => KP again

When the panic happens I get a long and really fast dump which prevents me from seeing where it starts. Is there a way to get all that boot data output to a file ? I'm not super familiar with Clover...

Do you think the F6d bios could be the culprit here ? It's still beta after all :/

Gave the F5 one a try, same result

@fenk,

You may use your smartphone to capture a video of the boot messages. When kernel panic is thrown, you may stop the video and scrub back a few frames where the cause of the panic is shown.

You can also try to boot from the USB install disk and select “Boot macOS of Mojave” at the Clover screen. If this succeeds, please mount EFI partition of Mojave SSD and compress/upload the CLOVER folder.

Good idea, thanks :)

Here it is :
panic : Virtual IOService < IntelAccelerator::probe (IOService >, SInt32) : Failed to map device Into GPU SXUI in /Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/GPUDrivesIntel/GPUDriversIntel-12.4.7.2…

The iGPU is enabled as per your instructions, but my monitor is connected to the RX 580 DP port

Clover is not yet installed on the SSD, I can't reach Mojave welcome screen at this point.

Sometimes these error messages can be misleading and more of the surrounding context is needed. Can you please post a screenshot of this frame of the captured video?

Hi, i edited the USB Layout for Fractal Design Define S if anyone is interested. It includes the extra internal USB 2.0 (which i have a USB bracket for mount in the rear) and Front Panel USB 3.0. It works for me and hope this someone finds it useful.

I have to correct myself, I connected everything it is not working correctly. it just takes one port, but calls it lacp.
I will ask a friend, maybe he has an idea.
Big Sorry! We will all work on it
No problem! I’ll also keep an eye out for a possible solution.

Sure, unfortunately I can't get much better than this, the dump is really fast

Because we still need to boot from the USB install disk at this stage (F12 at BIOS splash screen), let’s have a look at the Clover folder on the EFI partition of the USB. Simply insert the USB into the Mac, mount EFI partition, then compress and upload the CLOVER folder.

I have to step away for about 3 hours unfortunately!

No problem, here it is

Thanks again for your time!
