a) manually put AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext to Library/Extensions => no result
b) MultiBeast-10.4.0, AppleALC checked => system does not boot after restart. it freezes with progress bar at around 80%

Any suggestions?? Do you need any more info??

Expected, BIOS problem
MultiBeast-10.4.0, AppleALC checked => system does not boot after restart. it freezes with progress bar at around 80%
IOReg does not show AppleALC or Lilu installed, no idea
BIOS problem, null codec
Fix found, see The inevitable P8P67 Pro install guide... - Page 8 - OSx86 10.8 (Mountain Lion)/Krazubu

Thanks for all of those descriptions and tools, Toleda. Much appreciated.

According to AVG AntiVirus these files inside "Contents/MacOS" are respectively infected with:
.BC.T_w38Up9 with "MacOS: DirectHW-C[PUP]"
.BC.T_S6FcWJ with "MacOS: DirectHW-D[PUP]"
.BC.T_Uf3Kpa with "MacOS: DirectHW-C[PUP]"
.BC.T_uYdyy1 with "MacOS: DirectHW-C[PUP]"
.BC.T_zzMjbY with "MacOS: DirectHW-A[PUP]"

Why would that be specifically? It's a first in multiple years downloading tools of this kind.

False fail. By design, DPCIManager, with a system password, can write to system system files (see DPCIManager/Misc). There are no infections, no virus, no spam, no root exploitations, etc. If you are convinced there is a/any DPCIManager problem, do not use.

The Post #1 terminal commands are the equivalent of supported DPCIManager services.

  • Description of audio problem
The only Audio output I have is from the speakers on my monitor which is connected with a display port to my graphic card. I have a 5.1 speaker set which should appear as a "built-in" option for output which is missing out. I tested the same speaker on another Windows desktop machine so I know the speaker works. In other words, my onboard audio port is not detecting audio input while USB and other mechanism works.
