Your iGPU and RX580 should work well together :)
Please try VLC and cjeck up IntelPowergadget.

If I am in same situation I will try these.

1st. I will check up BIOS setting carefully ......exactly same with CaseySJ's guide or not

2nd. I will check up clover configurator setting compare with others whose system sleep well.
You have several example form me and others. In my case FixWAK was useful

3nd I will check up my driver64UEFI folder and Kexts in /EFI/EFI/Clover/Kexts, /L/E to find there is drivers or kexts I don't need or I don't understand what they do.

4th One thing clear is your sleepless problem is come from iGPU and not so high possibility problem is Notro + because that is most popular GPU on Hackintosh world.
I will check iGPU set up is really work well. If not work perfectly that means set up has problem.
For that I should know iGPU works perfectly or not.
That's why in last post I try to show the example how iGPU works when it's set up well.

5th I wil try repair permission because many strange problem come from permission in my experience,

6th I will try enable the Old Power Options.
Because in some side your system sleep in certain condition and thats related with energy pane setting

That's all I can think in this moment.
There is no reason your system make trouble if you did set up exactly same with CaseySJ's guide and my(?) iGPU set up.
High possibilty is you made some small mistake when you set up your system
Please check up one by one very carefully if you make check list and do that I guess you can find something wrong.

Good news is in my Korean Hackintosh community (https://x86.co.kr) all the members who set up iGPU success does not have sleep and wake up problem.

Good luck.
kenntkim66,

Thanks for your thoughtful response. Still haven't found a solution, but feel I'm close to solving my "Sleep Issues".

Just a reminder here are my symptoms:

When I put the machine to "sleep" it wakes itself back up right around the time of the setting for "Display Sleep" in the Energy Saver Preference Pane. Currently "Display Sleep" is set to 1 hour.
If I let the machine idle for 1 hour, it puts the monitor AND the computer to sleep right at the "Display Sleep" setting in the Energy Saver Preference Pane. What's most interesting is the computer will "often" remain asleep at this point until I wake it.

I've worked through all your suggestions and here's where I'm at.

1- BIOS. My bios is exactly as CaseySJ has outlined in the build guide. With the single exception that I have "CSM Support -> Enabled", I've discussed this with CaseySJ. Without it being enabled my machine boots into a "Black Screen" that doesn't allow me to see anything before the Mojave Login page. ie. no Gigabyte Splash Screen, no way to reach BIOS setup, no Clover screen.

2- Clover Configurator Settings. I'm using your EFI folder and Config.plist. The only changes are I'm using my own serial # for SMBIOS 18.3 and I changed the Clover theme and added couple of personalizations under the GUI Tab. See screen Shot 1 of GUI Tab. Also I didn't load your "SSDT-COSMETIC.aml" as I was not sure if I needed it as I have CaseySJ's SSDT patches loaded as per the guide.

3- I have checked up my driver64UEFI folder and Kexts in /EFI/EFI/Clover/Kexts, /L/E to find there is drivers or kexts I don't need to the best of my abilities. I attached screen shots so you might have a look.

4- My iGPU was configured by your Config.plist, it is definitely working. Here's a shot of the Devices tab and proof it's working via VDADecoderChecker.

5- I have repaired permissions (one of the first things I tried)

6- I have tried "Enabling the Old Power Options." That didn't help though I was hopeful. I used the instructions from this
TonyMacx86 post.. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/computer-sleep-slider-bar-missing.222369/

Conclusion:

I'm at a loss at what to try next. If you look at my "System Report / Power" Tab you can see the "System

Sleep Timer" is tied to the "Display Sleep Timer", I don't ever remember a Hackintosh Desktop machine acting this way.
My GIGABYTE Z370 Gaming 7 never put itself to sleep (am I wrong)..

OK................

Everythings ok except sleep right ?
open terminal and

log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason"

I will start to discuss with friends in my Korean Hackin community.

outdated vlc------ new vlc works great, decoding with gfx confirmed.

If someone can help with Audio I think this is nailed.

1. Check up AppleALC.kext. in My set up it is being in /EFI/Clover/Kexts/others
Please check up you have anothere AppleALC.kext on /L/E or not
Because according to your PCI tab AppleALC.kext is not loaded
If you installed FAKESMC.KEXT in /L/E it can make problem. Please check this too

2.open terminal and sudo kextcache -i/
that is cache rebuild command

My Wake Reason is still XDCI, everything else works except for sleep.

AppleALC.lext was in the same location, I ran the kext cache rebuild, restarted the system. After another reboot Same result, drivers are not loading and no sound.

for comparison, here is the libraries/extensions folder, I did not add the additional Fake files for sensory information. Very near the end of the build guide there are 5 files added here, applealc.kext included. For grins I downloaded the latest AppleALC.kext, v1.35. This had no effect on audio.

so close yet so far.... if anyone has suggestions for audio fixes I'd be so grateful, I have the headless video working but lost audio along the way. Audio inject is set to 7 and the applealc.kext file is sitting in clover as should. If I revert to the EFI folder that I backed up Audio returns. So something in this new EFI folder with headless is introducing the audio problem.
