[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Does the "SSDT-COSMETIC.aml" from your "EFI_Headless" folder handle the rename of RX5xx to AMD RX5xx?
I remember I did it in Cloverconfigurator directly. I use DarwinDumper LSPCI info to confirm PCIe Number of dGPU and rename by clover configurator

Yes it’s not properly sleeping but as long as the monitor goes off I’m ok with this . Amazon video , Netflix , fcp, iMessage, preview , any and all applications work so I can live without proper sleep function.
Shutdown works as well
@rauan1 Have you seen this post?

Yes, I checked it. However, I think my build is closer to yours, and I can't still get iTunes content to play where as you can. I have sleep working 90% of the time for me, so I almost gave up on my problem with iTunes/Netflix on Safari.

@kenntkim66 & @CaseySJ. So I just tried to save some parts of kenntkimm66 config.plist, to my new config.plitst on a test disk.

Everything seems to be working correct. Even sleep is working ok this time with IGPU Enabled

But I'm not sure if framebuffer IGPU is well implemented. Do you mind to take a look to the attached files and config.plist?

Also copied from @kenntkimm66 the SSDT-COSMETIC.aml to my EFI-ACPI-PATCHED. Is this ok for my Vega, or should I use a different (or not) file?

Also you recommend to change the name of my Vega to AMD Vega 64. Can you explain how to do it?

Thank you!

Supplemental Update installed without problems.... During the update there are a couple of reboots with each select the partition "install Mojave" in Clover. This is a temporary partition that only exists during the update.

@kenntkim66,

You provided a lot of good information in your last post. I would like to update the build guide as follows, but would first like to get feedback from everyone who wishes to provide feedback...
  1. For FCPX, the revised build guide will recommend Platform ID 0x3E910003 and 0x3E920003. It will ask user to try 3E910003 first, and if there are any issues, then try the other one.
  2. Revised guide will rename RX5XX to "AMD RX5XX" and rename "VegaXX" to "AMD VegaXX". In this way, the AMD cards will appear first in alphabetical order (before "Intel UHD 630") and will therefore be prioritized by Adobe applications such as Photoshop and Lightroom.
  3. Finally, the revised guide will provide a link to your full post so people can see all of the HEVC and H.264 benchmark data that you provided.
I'll update the build guide over the weekend, so if anyone wishes to offer any feedback on this, please do so now.

@CaseySJ & @kenntkim66, I follow on the SMBIOS changes, which are great. For the graphics card renaming I wasn't certain if @kenntkim66 made those adjustments in the SSDT or clover. I'll make a clone of things, test and look through build changes and post results.

Thanks in advance for the effort, I'll charge further ahead as things become clearer.

8. one more thing
We must change model name RX5xx or Vegaxx to AMD RX5xx or AMD Vegaxx.
It is important specially for Photoshop and Lightroom users.

In my case the RX580 was properly recognized by Lightroom/Photoshop as "AMD Radeon RX 580" without renaming in config.plist (Devices - Arbitrary).

Thanks for your reply, If you look on the attachments of my previous post (#1,612) you will see that I don't have 'Intelaccelarator' in ioResgistry, and neither can't find it on VDA Decoder

Anyway on Adobe Lightroom is recognised as 'AMD Radeon Vega 64' (please see attached)
IntelAccelerator is very likely there! You have to do this:
386051
After Step 2 you will see the tree expand on the left side and IntelAccelerator should appear.
