Hi - I am trying to be accurate with my newest build signature (Lenovo laptop), but the options for motherboard chipset (KabyLake/Coffee Lake-U/Y PCH), CPU ID (i5-8520U), and graphics (Intel UHD Graphics 620) are not available in the dropdowns. I have chosen what I think are the best options (though they are not a perfect match), but is there a way to update the available choices in the Manage Builds section of the Build Signature page under "Your Account"? If not, is there a way to allow me to type in the correct values? Thanks!

@muchmore,

You can choose to set you build signature(s) using the pre-set option fields in :-
https://www.tonymacx86.com/account/build-signature

Or if you clear all of those fields (set them to defaults) ..

You can write a more detailed description about your hardware in your account signature :-
https://www.tonymacx86.com/account/signature

You can only use one method or the other, not both ... if any fields in Your Account/build-signature are set to anything other then the defaults then your Account/signature will not be displayed.

See my signature below for an example.

Thanks - I have done what you suggested. Does having the build details in the account signature satisfy the forum requirement to list hardware specifications in my profile when posting issues?

@muchmore,

Yes of course, there are many system configurations that cant be specified using a standard "build-signature" as it only supports a small selection of hardware, this is especially true with regards to laptops so having the ability to define your hardware in a "signature" rather than a "build-signature" gets around the issue.

As I said in my last post, if you want to use a "signature" to list your hardware you must clear the Build Title & Build URL fields and set the hardware options for Motherboard, CPU & Graphics to the defaults for all five possible builds on the "build-signature" page ...

Like This :-

Once you have cleared all the data on the "build-signature" page click on "Save Builds"

You can then enter your hardware definition(s) into your "signature" and click on "Save"

Signatures are monitored closely and can only be used for listing hardware and/or links to pages or guides on this web site, external links are not allowed .. see the Signature section of the rules for more info :-

Hope that clarifies things for you.

Cheers
Jay
