I have the same MB , 27-6700 and now AMD RX 590 limited edition. ( to replace a GTX 1060 )
Im still on High sierra and getting really low open CL scores etc. In Luxmark OpenCL GPUs 4292.
Do you think this will improve when I update to Mojave ?
And when you say" Super happy with switching to AMD and enabling quick sync". Where do you enable quick sync ?

My open CL score went from 111 on a GTX 970 (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...7-6700k-evga-gtx970-skylake-imac-17-1.204813/) to 118 with a RX 590 (#29).

quick sync has also helped the performance when scrubbing the timeline in premiere pro with compressed (h.264 ect) footage

My testing with the card required Mojave for best results. There was a huge difference in the drivers. Mojave is a must for this card I recommend you upgrade. High Sierra testing was sluggish and very poor benches. About half of what Mojave was getting.

Hi Gigamax,
I did a clean install of Mojave 10.14.3 and then used migration assistant to restore.
All good, much better bench marks.
In Bios switched on Internal Graphics.
Updated WEG and now all working well.

Can those with a 590 confirm that at least 1 HDMI output works ? as this is what I will need to connect to a TV.

I have the blue AMD RX 590 limited edition and HDMI works perfectly.

Yes I use one DVI and one HDMI with adaptor for my 2 apple screens.

Anyone using clover builds past 4988 with the Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ RX 590 via HDMI and have it working?I get black screen but I can remote into the machine and all is good so I'm missing something I just don't know what.Any help is welcomed.Bless
