[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I believe ripe_md intentionally disabled HS12 for his use case. Attached is a new version that enables it for your Fractal Design R6. Please delete the existing version from your CLOVER/ACPI/patched folder and copy this one.

Thanks for the great Discription and the fast change in SSDT. I Think Tonymacx86 is great and you are helping us very well. Thank You

Hey @CaseySJ back to this little problem...

I added -uia_exclude=HS14, but I don't see any difference on the behaviour of the bluetooth, and when I open IORegistryExplorer I still see HS14, is this normal?
For this to work you will need:
  • USBInjectAll.kext installed in either /Library/Extensions or CLOVER/kexts/Other.
  • Preferably turn off the USB Port Limit patch by turning on the "disable" checkbox in Clover Configurator --> Kernel and Kext Patches.
  • Oh, the boot argument does not have "-" in the front, so please try:
    uia_exclude=HS14

@TheAsocial Oh, please do this! I'd highly appreciate your time to experiment with it. I'm still trying to connect my Apple Thunderbolt display to Z390 Designare using Apple's TB3 to TB2 adapter. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out the way to connect it after many attempts. Display stays black all the time and doesn't turn on. Be it Windows 10, latest Ubuntu or macOS. Please let me know how it will work for you. Thank you in advance!

Yes! Removing that little '-' did it! Now bluetooth is working ! Thank you!

I have the normal Vega but was having problems with the Kext. This fix worked though (see FCP fix in install guide partially pasted below )
Seems to work best with iMacPro 1,1. I just did the heaven benchmark, and the Vega fan ramps up but than goes down to normal RPM after being finished :

If you're a Final Cut Pro X user, the build configuration presented in this guide causes FCPX to crash on startup. A relatively simple solution is provided here. This will place the iGPU in headless mode, so a discrete graphics card (PCIe GPU) is necessary for connecting your monitor. Use Clover Configurator 5.3.2.0 or later to make these changes to your config.plist:

Thank you @tdcam, can you please tell me where's that guide? I can't start Final Cut at the moment.

Thank you!

If anyone here has a Sapphire RX 580 and a 4K monitor, do you also get a black screen when booting to a 4K display?
I have a Sapphire RX 580 and an LG 4K monitor, LG 27UK650. I just ordered another one. It is connected via HDMI. This is the monitor I used when initially setting the whole thing up as well.

@TheAsocial
And I can also confirm that my MSI RX 580 is able to boot to a 4K monitor (ASUS MX27UC) via HDMI with no issues.

Having ruled out most of the obvious causes, maybe it's time to look at the more obscure ones:
  • If you disconnect the PCI power cable from the nVidia GTX1080 and restart the machine, does it make any difference to video playback in VLC?
  • If you have iStat Menus, you could check GPU and CPU load during video playback. You can see which GPU is carrying the load and how much the load is distributed between the CPU and the GPU. Can "Activity Monitor" do this? (I'm not in front of a Mac at the moment, so cannot check.)
Hi
I really need your help, I still have a problem to play most of movies smoothly, at the beginning i thought it is a problem in Hackintoshe only but i noticed it is even showing in windows with same setup using power dvd media player, i think i had hardware issue, before i had z370N mini itx build working fine with same movies, but I upgrade my system change my motherboard and cpu i used z390 Aorus pro with i9900k and i change my power supply to 650 watte and using only rx580 to see where is the defect, i used same ram i had before it is ddr4 2400 hz crucial 2 rams only
