Creative CA0132 codec discussion (Sound Core3D)

I installed this new AppleALC into /L/E with KextBeast and copied it into /EFI/Clover/kexts/other/. All device outputs disappeared from the sound output menu. I have audio via HDMI/monitor, but no other way.
AppleALC should be only at one place, it works fine from the Other folder.

An unpatched CodecCommander makes no sense for this codec. Use the supplied SSDT with the unpatched CodecCommander.

Suppose the CodecCommander is already at /L/E, run the script from the attachment, then copy the SSDT to the patched folder, restart MacOS, and run the script again. Upload the output.

When I ran the script before copying the SSDT, it was saying CodecCommander wasn't loaded. Turns out I needed to fix permissions (and rebuild cache afterwards). But I did so after I copied the SSDT to the "patched" folder. So, after I made sure the CodecCommander was now loaded, and copied the SSDT you provided, here's the output from the script. Let me know if you need anything else.

Ok, there seems to be some confusion.
If you are using AppleALC, CodecCommander should be in /L/E with fixed permissions, and the cache reissued, the SSDT in the patched folder.
If using the VoodooHDA.kext, remove AppleALC and add VoodooHDA to the Other folder. Also remove the SSDT.

Here is an AppleALC for testing. The outputs are still different, do you have Windows or Linux installed?

My apologies if I misunderstood. The output I gave you was with having AppleALC, and CodecCommander was in the Library/Extensions with fixed permissions and rebuilt cache. The SSDT was in the patched folder in EFI. Is there a different "patched" folder I am not aware of?

Yes I have Windows installed as dual boot. Would it be easier to get the info you need from there? And I will also try it with VoodooHDA and see if that gives the proper output.

I'm sorry, I'll mention again in the audio post

Hi, wern, I just installed HighSierra macOS on my pc. Mobo Gigabyte Z270X Gaming 7 (the same as yours) + Intel 6600 SkyLake CPU, and Corsair 2x16GB memories. Also I have a Tp-link 881nd wifi board and the built-in ethernet cards (Killer + Intel) + Pcie Firewire.
My hackintosh is IMAC14,2. (Do not change it because it worked)
I have everything that is network and wifi working properly and also the Firewire. USB ports 3.0 and 3.1 also seem to be good except the 3.0 front. I have to investigate why.
I have a problem with Audio (Creative SoundRecon CA0132).
Initially I tested with VoodooHDA and it showed me inputs and outputs but it did not have sound. Also by habit I use a lot of HDMI audio that I do not know if it could be used in hackintosh.
Try several things, reading this almost complete post and the last thing you tried was to leave the original file AppleHDA.kext in S / L / E, copy CodecCommander.kext in L / E and run the Kext Utility.app to rebuild the bases. Copy a new file AppleALC.kext (latest version 1.3.5) and Lilu.kext (latest version 1.3.4) in the EFI / Clover / kext / Other. There is also only the FakeSMC.kext.
The version of Clover that I have for now is 4458.
Also I opened the config.plist file of the EFI unit with the clover and modified the things that I saw that you said in ACPI: HDAS to HDEF, fix IPIC, HPET, RTC, TMR. In Devices: layout id 4 and in Systems Parameters: InjectKext = yes.
YOU ARE NOT SHOWING ANY AUDIO DEVICE FOR THE MOMENT.
If you know what it can be, since it is the same mobo, I thank you very much. I attach some of these files.

@TravelerTechie @MusicHacker and the other ZxRi users. Can someone give me the output of the attached script?

@fibrolco
Try the attached Z270X kext for front USB.

For audio use VoodooHDA or AppleHDA, never both. AppleALC + Lilu is recommended. The IOReg shows me that AppleHDA.kext is not loaded. Make sure that you do not use a modified kext, that you have the right permissions, and rebuild the cache. In the config.plist you did not tick the IRQ patches, I did it for you.

You can copy AppleALC, Lilu and the Z270X kext to the Other folder. Save and upload the IOReg.

BTW. with the iMac18,1 SMBIOS the power management should work better.

Good Evening,

I'm running my first hackintosh (10.13.6) on a Gigabyte Z270X-Gaming 8 with a lot of success in almost every aspect but the audio.

I've found this thread on my search to make my sound (5.1) work through the CA0132 on the Motherboard instead of it going through the crappy screen speakers.

I have in my build the lastest build of Clover(r4895) and AppleALC/1.3.5 (layout 1 and HDAF patch) along with native AppleHDA, as well as wern CodecCommander from first post.

So far i have very very quiet sound, i have the speakers and os volume at max, and on youtube nyan cat video is barely hearable.

Can i Request your help?

Thank you

@Colanta Your mainboard has an ZxRi codec which is slightly different from the R3Di. Copy the attached hda-verb to /usr/local/bin and upload the script output.

@wern First of all, thank you for taking my post into account :)

Here is the output of the script.

I want to ask if it is normal for CodecCommander to disable my HDMI Audio

Thanks Again
