also can I skip the Install Clover in the Internal partition because I dont haave the Nvidia GPU.
does not make any sense, you need to install clover to your hard drive to save you from having to use your usb installer to boot, has nothing to do with you having nvidia or not...

This guide can serve for an HP Envy x360 8th Gen Coffee Lake 15-bp1xx???

I would assume that this guide could serve as a starting point, as the machines are relatively similar and are of the same generation from HP, but a couple things I'll flag:

- The Envy uses an SSD/HDD combo which may be a complicating factor in setting things up (as the SSD in the base model is small, it may be hard to get two OSes on it), though you could always upgrade the SSD to a higher-density model to help with this.
- Per this guide, It does appear to use a removable wireless card rather than an integrated one, which means that your options for wireless are a lot better. I wasn't able to find a teardown of the device anywhere, however, so I'm not 100 percent sure if the recommended cards in this guide will work, but it does appear to rely on an m.2 slot.

Was it ever mentioned in here whether this was the 13" or 15" model? Because I went out and bought the 13" model today, only to tear it apart and find no replaceable WiFi card, which totally sucks because now I have to go and try to return it after having torn it apart (aka stripping a few screws). A specific model number would have been helpful.

I'm really sorry to hear that. General rule of thumb for most HP Spectre x360 models is that the 13-inch models have everything soldered on minus (I believe) the SSD; the 15-inch models are generally upgradeable. (This seems worth mentioning, @ctxdl.)

If you would like to still go forward with your Hack project on the 13-inch model, you could always use a Wi-Fi dongle or tether it to your phone. I realize those solutions aren't ideal, though. Sorry to hear all that, though.

How were you able to get VoodooI2C working on this, I keep reading that its not Coffee Lake compatible?

I didn't have an issues, it works as is laid out in the guide. One thing I'll say is that the touchscreen works on this device without having to dive into GPIO changes, so it's significantly less painful than with other devices—and will help you avoid the headaches mentioned.

Jaymonkey's guide is worth a look. He's on a prior-gen version of the Spectre, but the installation process is exactly the same.

Hi! Great Tutorial! I want also to install macOS High Sierra but I am having a problem where the USB key in clover won't boot on the laptop. Every other machine MSI and a cheap mini pc works at booting the USB key but the Spectre is only displaying a black screen after selecting the boot device. After some time at the black screen the fan goes at full speed. I am wondering if it's something with the 4K screen. Also, I am having trouble to understand the part where we have to modify the config.plist and set the config to disable to true or disable. Could someone shed me some light on this thank you!

Here are the specs
HP Spectre x360 ae013dx dark ash 13.3 with 4k display
Intel Core i7 8550u with 16 GB DDR4
Intel UHD 620
512 GB NVME SSD
Latest BIOS F23

Oh and Happy New Year !

Though I can't be sure because your problem reporting files aren't attached (see: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/), this sounds similar to a problem I had when first installing. If you boot from Clover in verbose mode (hit the space bar on your partition at the boot screen, select -v for verbose), you may see an error that says "gIOScreenLockState=3". If that's the case, this solution might work for you.

Either way, attach your problem reporting files so we can help.
