Sorry I have never got hold of a Mac Pro so I do not know. The only thing I can suggest is to try to fins the same connections ( multimeter?) on the Mac Pro front panel board as my diagram for the Power Mac and wire it the same.

No worries, I've recently found a really great mod :http://blog.carlossless.io/reverse-hackintosh-pro#front-panel_3
He used custom PCB's which I think I will end up doing as well (even if its more expensive than soldering).

David, it does look like a great mod. Will come in useful if I come across a MacPro. Thank you for your help.
 
I'm now addicted with this, bought a fully working mac pro 1.1 with upgraded sdd/hdds, it was super cheap and quiet, everything worked like a charm on 10.7.5, the hardware is meh, so i decided to make it a full atx compatible, thanks for this topic, it helps a lot! i post pics later this year when i have progress, thanks again!
