Ehh.. little issue :) I replaced my EFI with your EFI. Than I restarted to see if MacOS HS started. I see the Clover theme and choose my HD. Black screen. Than I tried my CCC-backup HD and tried to start my backup. Also black screen.

Can you please help me pastrychef?

Try changing system definition to iMac14,2 to see if it helps with black screen.

I first did not understand your post about the system definition so I did it a little different. I followed @Stork's instructions. Updated Clover and apfs.efi, updated directly from App Store. Everything works :) Only issue I have (well, maybe more but this one was instantly noticeable) is that sleep is now shut down. I already found this: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-sleep-shutdown.260947/

But I'm curious if you have a better solution, or maybe you had the same issue?

I don't recall ever experiencing this. The solution from your link seems like a sound one. If it's working, I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't use Premiere, but I can tell you that, yes, you can enable the IGPU even though you have a discrete video card.
  1. Boot in to BIOS.
  2. Enable IGPU.
  3. Set your discrete video card as primary.
  4. Reboot and go to BIOS again.
  5. Set memory for IGPU to 64MB or higher.
You should probably also install the latest Lilu.kext and WhateverGreen.kext.

I'd like to thank you once again. I noticed that Quicklook and Preview wasn't working. I enabled iGPU like you described. Now Quicklook and Preview is working, and also the .mp4 export issues I had before are gone.

Thank you!

My pleasure!! Glad I was able to help!!

Have you applied the proper USB 15 port limit fix? I've already done all the tedious work. It should be a breeze for everyone else now.

Note that if you use:
Code:
uia_exclude=HS07;HS08;HS09;HS10;HS11;HS12;HS13;SS07;SS08;SS09;SS10
All USB ports will be active except for the 2 USB 2 ports in the rear and 3 out of 4 of the internal USB2 ports from the internal headers. The fourth can be used for Bluetooth with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adaptors.
Im sorry that im still not able to navigate myself around this site , so I find you when I can . I mentioned to you before that I was having issues with my mouse just sticking on the page and not moving and also my pc overheating and starting over . I was wondering if you could look at my efi files to maybe see were im going wrong . Im choosing to stick with my evga nvidia 1050 ( as per your advice I agree I dont need anything more ) but im really nervous that something is going wrong with my system now . as usual ty so much for your help and I do wish there was a way we could help out monetarily since your 100 percent always helping.

I don't think EFI folder can cause overheating. Try running your system in Windows to see if it also overheats. Check your heatsink installation.
