To
get audio working with DarkVoid latest repo I had to load the config.plist in clover, then select "boot" and add a custom flag with "alcid=11" That worked for me. Make sure you have a space between the last flag and this one. This is assuming you took his repo "as is" and didn't do any other audio patching/tweaks.

Thanks! That got my audio working too without the usual kernel_task-CPU-burning-stuff. However, can we achieve the same effect if we just put it in Devices > Audio > "Inject" in clover config? How did you get the information which alcid you need to set as boot arg?

Same here. Battery dropped to 70% after 2 years of use. Macbook (1 year older than the Dell) is at 85%.
Quite upset with Dell tbh - my older XPS15 still has 75% of battery use after 8 years.

Aah, so I'm not the only one then. I thought it's just my charging habit. Dell should've done better. Anyways, thanks for replying jkbuha .

in the guide you linked you say that following the previous guide (which I followed) provides already a plist with PM enabled so there is no need for custom SSDT. I checked the config.plist provided in the first post but there is no flag /ACPI/SSDT/Generate/PluginType=true. That means that I need to run ssdtPRGen and use the generated SSDT?

EDIT: just read this in the first post (No HWPEnabler kext nor Clover HWPEnable nor SSDPrGen are used. Paired with Macbook9,1 SMBIOS the system is snappy and CPU+GPU power management works pretty well.) so I assume I'll just need to skip the first part

If you don't have it, add it.

Just updated to Mojave 14.2 (fresh install) using darkvoid's latest base config. Taking the config as is, without any modification managed to install the OS properly. The only catch at this stage was that the trackpad wasn't functional, and keyboard fn keys weren't working as expected. However, after i ran the shell script to patch the audio, all of the issues were resolved.

Then I realised that Wifi was working, but Bluetooth hardware wasn't detected at all. I added BrcmFirmwareData.kext as well as BrcmPatchRAM2.kext, and voila, Bluetooth hardware was detected (I'm using DW1560).

Hope this one is as stable as my current Sierra installation

Thanks to darkvoid, Rehabman, bozma88, and everyone who has made this possible!

I added it and my system started a bootloop (kernel panic, reboot, kernel panic, reboot).
[will add EFI/CLOVER in some minute]

I just took all the kext from the first post, so that means they are not updated. Even the config.plist is from the first post. That means all the stuff from the first post are screwed up (?)
