Hi, I have a crapy unofficial power adaptor that causes sound noise.
in the past using the AppleHDA_ALC283.kext it was not the case.
so can you make the script configurable so I can continue using the old approach?

about the noise:
happens only when using crapy adaptor and headphone
happens when headphone jack plugs in
happens system idle for some minutes

No need to reply until you're ready to provide the additional information/images.
When I switch the resolution to 1920*1080hdpi the screen turn to black immediately, only if I use the keyboard shortcuts turn on launchpad can help the screen turn to normal, leave launchpad the screen turn to dark again.

No plans to switch away from AppleALC.kext.
You could always dig into older versions of the github project if you want to.

My guess is that DVMT-prealloc is not set correctly.

My bios version is 3.03 but the DVMT-prealloc is 128MB, I used to set the 0x18C to 0x4 on version 1.14 before I upgrade it to 3.03 and I checked that the value was kept. Everything worked well on Yosemite before I reformat the SSD to install 10.14.2 Mojave. If you recommend that I should downgrade the bios to 1.14,I would like to have a try on that.

Check other BIOS settings (legacy/CSM enabled, fast boot disabled).

I reset the BIOS to default, turn off secure boot ,enable the legacy, and set the 0x18C to 0x4 again but the problem goes on as well. That is really weird

Check BIOS settings (you didn't mention fast boot).
If you have an issue, you must also provide details (use video or photos to be clear about the problem).
And attach PR files as per FAQ/post #1.
