I did get HDMI working, however only through the Nvidia GPU. I think that having the Intel UHD control an external display isn't possible due to how it's hooked up internally.

Hi Jomanji,

I have an Acer Nitro 5 with the hdmi port connected to nvidia(GTX 1050Ti) graphics.
I have High Sierra 10.13.6 with compatible nvidia web driver.
I have enabled clover flag "nvidiaweb" and installed the web driver.
Yet my nvidia graphics do not work, in system report it says 0MB VRAM.

How did you manage to get your nvidia graphics and hdmi working?

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Hello @RehabMan, added the problem reporting zip.
I am still unable to load the Nvidia web driver.
Meanwhile I was trying to enable voodooi2c polling mode,
it did not work but it did mess up the 3 minute black screen bug fix.

Could be NVRAM problem.
Try using AptioMemoryFix-64.efi instead of OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi.

Hey @vettz500 how it goes with the testing? is any progress with it?

Progress has been made. I'm still doing testing but so far so good for me with the latest round of updates. I'm 14/14 reboots with no black screen upon boot. Still have to keep testing to be sure.

If you or anyone else would like to jump ship and upgrade to Mojave or the 17G2208 build of High Sierra to test this, here is what you need to do the testing to make sure the issue is gone.

These are the latest Lilu and WhateverGreen builds from today. WhateverGreen now includes AppleBackLightFixUp, the AppleBackLightFixup.kext is no longer needed. Installing Lilu and WhateverGreen kexts to Library-Extensions and placing the SSDT-PNLF in EFI-Clover-ACPI-Patched is all that is needed to get backlight and sleep working with the latest builds of High Sierra and Mojave.

If you need more information on upgrading to the latest version High Sierra or Mojave, refer to my Detailed Install Guide for this laptop.

I just tested it and it's perfect no more black screen for 3 minutes it starts perfectly.

I just have to fix my sound and trackpad problems and everything will be perfect :)
