I am trying to migrate my old Mac and connected it via USB C with a proper data transfer cable for a faster transfer. I started my macbook in target mode but unfortunately the Hackintosh doesn't see it. Are my USB ports improperly configured or is not compatible?
Try to use USB-A, my EFI didn't open USB3.0 mode of the USB-C port. Or you can make your own SSDT. Here is the number of the ports, which will save time for you. One more thing, HS02 is USB-C, you can add SS02 to your SSDT.

I'm spending a lot of time trying to clean up my install, removing ghost EFIs and the such but have run into a few problems.

1) When using Clover Configurator, none of my changes are saved for some reason
2) When I use the CC update option, the updates only install on the Main disk. It simply refuses to install on the EFI partition even if I copy the install files to the EFI and run from there
3) @pastrychef you should be commended for your excellent guide. I followed the link to the NVRAM guide to set it up but it seems outdated. Can I use Clover Configurator to set it up? If so what options should I set?
4) I have an issue with a post bios and pre clover log screen that I simply cannot figure out, please see pic.

5) My biggest and most immediate concern is that I cannot launch mail. The app opens but no mail window.

You can use the Clover installer to install EmuVariable64Uefi and the RC scripts.

@pastrychef Thank you for the crystal clear instructions. My problem is Clover refuses to install to the EFI partition, it always defaults to HD. I've been struggling with this for hours and I understand this is due to APFS. I can't seem to find any fixes, I guess I could copy to desktop and then copy manually but that seems so......inelegant. Do you know if the Cloverites have addressed this? Is it a setting perhaps?

When installing, try to only have the EFI partition of the target drive mounted.

I have also found that Clover Configurator gets confused when you have multiple EFI partitions mounted.
