Don't let your emotions lose the focus my friend. There's a difference between musical talent and quality sound recordings. This community has other issues than our ridiculous feud. If you wish to continue feeding it, knock yourself out. I'm off :wave:
PS: By the way smugness started with your "perfect pitch who's hearing rolls off above 21kHz". Hilarious.

It's a matter of perspective. You agreed your concerns are meaningless for just about everyone here but you so your initial critique was superfluous. I can just imagine all the poor folks out there wasting hours debugging their 32 bit audio chip on the motherboard so they can get their sound blaster speakers humming.

Don't feel bad. For every person like me there are 9999 like you and you don't have to ask your parents to turn off the electronic pest repellers when you visit them.

I think I broke my OSXWifi card after trying to shield the cables.

I ordered another module from China, it should get here in a week or two.

Thankfully I can just use the onboard Wifi/BT for now.
there is a new less expensive new version that doesn't use wires and bluetooth connectivity is much better
I had two bcm4360cd and they lasted around a year each until bluetooth stopped working on both cards
so at my 3rd card I ordered another one and this one is much better
I can't keep ordering something that it continues to stoped working for no apparent reason
also you have to know exactly how to match the usb headers in your board since sometimes they are a bit different
and that will cause a problem with the BT because the pins are not in right order, not where they supposed to be

the new card is also faster
1300 vs 1750

Broadcom BCM943602CS 1750Mbps 802.11ac Wireless PCi Express WiFi Adapter + BT4.0

the one I have is WTXUP

that one is sealed without complicated wires that can easily break

there are many USA sellers, you don't need to order from china and wait weeks for the card to arrive

also if you broke the cable in your card, the card is not damage or broken, all you have to do is buy new cables
the card is broken when you brake the connectors on the card itself not the pci-e adapter
the little bcm4360cd card

sorry osxwifi but your cards are old, ugly green and expensive, sorry guys
cheers

Both of my parents are dead. Thank you for your concerns.
sorry to read that, you don't have to let people know that , that is extremely personal, I know you are much stronger now
I know this would not help but you have a brother here, I extend my hand in sign of friendship and brotherhood
wish you the best bro in 2019 , keep being strong, as a man I admire your strength and courage

make sure to extend that middle finger a bit more in 2019
ops that is not a middle finger but still
I'm sure you get my point
regards

Nope.. not on X299.. I witnessed a similar problem on X99. Maybe your PSU?

SuperFlower SF-1000F14MP LEADEX PLATINUM

I'm using a model.
Connecting the usb header is a symptom of the cpu fan functioning, so we are now removing the usb header.

Let's resolve this shall we? If you receive a minimum of 3 likes from regular users of this thread on your last comment within the next week, I will gladly apologize to you and remove my profile and contribution from this community.

Need some help, please. @RehabMan @kgp I have a Gigabyte x299 Designare EX mobo. I really need to get the hot-swap onboard thunderbolt working as I am trying to run 2 UAD Apollo audio interfaces daisy-chained together. I read the post on hot-swap and tried dropping the SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml file in my EFI folder/ APCI/ patched. It doesn't work. The Thunderbolt ports on the Designare EX are built into the motherboard so I know its a bit different than the titan ridge being installed in a
pci specific slot. Any help getting this working would be huge! Anyone using the same board? Or even if I have to use an alpine ridge card with this mobo I will. Thanks in advance!

Nah I I think I chipped off a capacitor off the board, I was trying to take a sticker off. BT works but not Wifi.

Anyway, I ordered a newer one that is fully compatible with macOS without any kexts...BCM943602CDAX, which is a straight pull from a 2014/2015 iMac. These are a bit hard to find, so it will take a while for it to get here.

It has BT 4.1, which should have better BT reception since BT4.1 protocol doesn't need to have Wifi/BT "coexist" mode, as far as I read.

I'm looking for OOB support with BIOS support and don't want to load kexts like I do with my current onboard BCM94352Z swap.

I bought OSXWifi back in 2014/2015, and it worked fine for years.

I would love to get a iMac Pro module which I believe has BT 5.0 and the latest and fastest AC standard. But they are too custom and not available anywhere, unless someone figured out a way to use them (I believe they are soldered on their board).

Hello my friend @kgp I have recently updated to the new bios 1603, and it purposely states in Asus website that "it fixes usb issues" and what not, but I have find myself left without USB after that... Have you updated to the latest?

Before you state that SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml does not work with the GB X299 Designare EX, demonstrate that you properly implemented the latter SSDT. Please upload IOREG save and PCI screenshot! If you witness yourself that the SSDT is not properly implemented, also upload EFI-Folder and screenshots of your TB BIOS settings!

Cheers,

KGP
