No "use apple watch to unlock mac" option

@qweer28 I have the exactly same problem with my DW1560 card. Do you had any luck in the meantime?

Yes, any progress on this? Thanks.

I am afraid the reason is BCM94352Z is not natively supported by mac, although some functions work by using the kext. I suggest switch to the cards used by real mac.

This card will not work with Apple Watch. Check my build for more info.

Sadly, the BCM94360CS2 will not fit in my Dell 9360 (with the M.2 adapter). Are there other models of cards that have the functionality of the BCM94360CS2, but are m.2 form factor? Thanks.

Check OSXwifi they have a lot of stuff, though they are rather expensive when compared to other options. If you have a PCI 1x slot open but not a slot In the back you could always remove the rear plate and antenna to make it fit but you will have to mount the antenna another way. I have a full size case so it is easy for me but the attached image shows you what I did.

Ok. At least i could activate the "use watch to unlock" option with my DW1560. Things were indeed easier than i thought. I modified my DSDT to inject some properties to the dw1560 and used AirportBRCMFixup and the Brcm Kexts. There are also a way to use clover for the properties. Works the same way.

I dont remember where i get the exact information from, but a search using "dw1560 property airportbrcmfixup compatible" should lead to the right direction.

BTW: THe unlock itself works unreliable, but thats the same on real macs.

This is great news! I have been searching as you suggested above, but I'm unable to find any information to go ahead with this change. Could you provide more information for us? Thanks.

I modified AirportBrcmFixup.kext to make AirPortBrcmNIC.kext to attach to my device instead of AirPortBrcm4360.kext.

It made the Apple Watch Unlock option to appear, but it doesn't seem to work well here. I only get it to work after I enable this option. Rebooting the laptop, and it won't work anymore (will try to unlock, but fail after a couple of seconds...)

Have the same option with Instant Hotspot, but I didn't understand what you've said about Bluetooth preferences. I can have it working by manually enabling hotspot on my iPhone and connecting via WiFi menu bar item/preferences.

Using DW1560 here (BCM94352Z).

As suggested, I'll too recommend using an Apple branded card for best compatibility. Other cards are known to be problematic.
Would've done it myself, but I don't have enough space for the card + adapter in my laptop...

would you mind to share the modified kext? I am using DW1560。。。
