XFX Fatboy doesn’t work. Powercolor and Sapphire reported working.

It may work OOB as far as GUI acceleration is concerned.
But read few pages back regarding encode/decode acceleration that is unstable with all RX 4xx/5xx cards.
Buyer beware. Would not want you to be disappointed after spending your hard earned cash.

The hackintosh has been plugging away for 27 hours now encoding mpeg2 and h.265 streams. Super happy with switching to AMD and enabling quick sync. Now I gotta sell the GTX 970 now since it's collecting dust

I Bought a XFX Fatboy, was not working at all. Flashed it to Powercolor bios. now everything is working perfectly...

I Bought a XFX Fatboy, was not working at all. Flashed it to Powercolor bios. now everything is working perfectly...

I posted the Powercolor Rom on page one. For the Sapphire you can go to “Techpowerup” site which also has instructions for changing the bios.

XFX RX 590 Fatboy OC+ working using the fakeid method + vbios flash to Powercolor rom (Thank you Gigamaxx). Only extra thing I had to do was enable iGPU according to another forum to fix random freezes.
