OK great thanks. So when I'm entering the different values I just use all of the numbers AFTER the 0x? i.e. for 0x16120003 (mobile, 4 connectors) I would just enter 16120003 in my config.plist I tried that and after reboot, the graphics are skewed and extra large and the display will not sleep by power button or apple menu but does turn off and on when lid closed and opened. I just want to make sure I'm entering these values correctly to do a proper test.

You can easily experiment with different ig-platform-id values via Clover options -> Graphics injector.
If you're using config.plist/Graphics/ig-platform-id, the 0x prefix is required (16120003 would be interpreted as decimal, which of course would result in an invalid ig-platform-id).

OK thanks will experiment via clover options to avoid having to mount EFI and editing plist each time.

Is this the right way to enter values?

Yes, but keep in mind that ACPI injections will override Clover injections.
And the ProBook guide uses SSDT-IGPU.aml to inject ig-platform-id.

So, some re-configuring must be done in order to effectively use these options.

In short:
- remove SSDT-IGPU.aml
- refer to guide plists for config.plist/Devices/Properties content (you will want to remove the DVMT-prealloc related entries)
- then you can experiment with different ig-platform-id values via Clover.

Man I don't think this is having any affect whatsoever. To make matters even more perplexing if I remove SSDT-IGPU.aml from EFI and boot with no custom injected ig-platform in Clover the system STILL boots and functions as normal as if I made no changes to anything at all. How can I know that what I'm doing is actually having an effect on my system?

You should know better...

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Sorry I just discovered gen_debug tool! I avoided submitting multiple problem reporting files in the past just because it was such a laborious multi step process. Attached is my current configuration below without modifications. This is just using your guide as written.

You still have SSDT-IGPU.aml in ACPI/patched.
Read post #34.

Sorry I already tried everything in post #34 and it had no effect. I switched back just so you could take stock of the current setup. I always put everything back after testing different tweaks.

You will have to show what you did. I cannot comment on scenarios without PR files.
