The EFI will not take up space on your primary partition. It could be snapshots that are taking up space or hibernation file.

To disable Hibernate:

*Direct quote from above guide:
"Be aware that hibernation (suspend to disk or S4 sleep) is not supported on hackintosh.

You should disable it:

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage
sudo mkdir /var/vm/sleepimage
Always check your hibernatemode after updates and disable it. System updates tend to re-enable it, although the trick above (making sleepimage a directory) tends to help.

And it may be a good idea to disable the other hibernation related options:"

If these don't clear up your disk space then it has to be some app/setting that you are using.

Don't know why you can't erase an SSD.

Tests completed, the problem is not the PSU. I don't know if I should cry or be happy. I guess, a fresh install... soon.
The good part is, I had to remove the CPU Cooler to access the 8 pin MB PSU cable. Apparently I did not put enough "goose grease" on the CPU/cooler, idle is now in the low 20's-celcius, 10 degrees cooler.

I don't know what to say other than I still believe it's a hardware issue....

Hi PastryChef, many thanks for this guide, I got a brand new HW - for my sencond hack.built - and your guide was the primary source of HW info, as I am not that professional in all the ktexts and USB port limits. I have an NZXT Kraken AIO cooler and I set Monitor > Q-Fan Configuration > CPU Q-FAN Control to "DC Mode" in BIOS, and CPU Fan Speed Lower Limit to "Ignore" and CPU Fan Profile to "Silent". Having the AOI's USB connected to one of the MB's USB2 socket the cooler works fine, it is silent and there's no CPU Fan Error message either. Clover presents the "Boot FileVault Prebooter from Preboot" and "Boot macOS Install Prebooter from Preboot" options - I guess this is "normal" yet I don't recall any of these options from 10.13 times (using a different MB and CPU). I am not yet updated to 14.2 (as I completed the install 2 days ago when this update was not yet out. As I see the posts, this must be a straight-forward update without issues. Many thanks for this guide, downloads, I trully appreciate it!

I don't know the NZXT Kraken and I've never used water cooling before, but shouldn't the fans be set to PWM?

The PreBoot options are normal.

The update to macOS Mojave 10.14.2 was smooth for me.
