Yes! That's very similar to what I was getting when using 4K@60Hz over HDMI with my RX 560 at one point. Switching cables helped with that but it still blinked once in a while. Dropping down to 50Hz helped a bit. Dropping down to 30Hz eliminated the problem.

4K@60Hz worked fine in Windows.

MultiBeast installs AppleALC and Lilu to /Library/Extensions/. I have them installed in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/. You should choose only one location, not both. Also, wherever you choose to install these two kexts, you should keep WhateverGreen in the same folder.

If you choose to install these kexts in /Library/Extensions/, I suggest also installing LiluFriend.kext. LiluFriend.kext is not needed if you install in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.

Make sure you don't have these kexts in /System/Library/Extensions/.

I've double checked all 3 directories and deleted the duplicates now only using /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ -
But this had resulted in boot loop so had to add lilu + AppleALC back to /Library/Extensions/ & /System/Library/Extensions/

Separate issue after recently upgraded Vega 64 (reference version) - Freezes at Heaven benchmark and various games, but not Cinebench R15, suspecting it's a power/fan issue - currently using VegaTab_64.kext as instructed in the guide.

It looks like you followed instructions from multiple sources. That's a bad idea. Everyone does things slightly differently. I suggest looking for one guide and follow it. Do not mix and match instructions from multiple guides. This will just lead to the mess you currently have.

Cleaned up all kexts as instructed, and finally have audio working!

But still can't get Vega 64 to run Heaven benchmark without freezing, after reading up your guide on VGTab so tried that as well as RadeonVega56AirCoolingFansFix.kext - Fans are working fine but just freezes when under full load?

My settings for VGTab are not guaranteed to work for others because I applied Liquid Metal thermal compound to aid in cooling.

Also, as with CPUs, each GPU will clock slightly differently from other GPUs even same model from same manufacturers.

Therefore, it's best if you adjust VGTab for your own specific Vega card. Try starting off without any changes to the clocks or voltages and just adjust fan speeds and target temperature first.

Yes. If you are familiar with the WattMan utility in Windows, VGTab allows users to make the same sorts of adjustments to Vega cards in macOS.

Yes, it's very possible that the freezes can be due to improper clocking, application of voltage, and/or fan speeds. I really don't know of any way to find a "one size fits all" setting for all Vega cards. Even AMD overshoots with voltages to ensure that all Vega cards run at advertised speeds. The only real way to find the "sweet spot" for your specific card is through trial and error.

First, make sure there's nothing wrong with the card itself. You can do some testing in Windows and/or use the Vega card without a fan fix until you are confident that the card is not faulty. Then, you can experiment with VGTab and adjust the fans. For me, I was able to set idle fan speed at 800rpm and target temperature at 55C and temps were still reasonably good. After that you can experiment with undervolting and/or overclocking.

I tried to do an installation without your EFI folder and I have no startup problems, but in this way I lose all the improvements you've made to the configuration.
