[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Hi RehabMan and sorry for all these posts. I edited my previous post adding my EFI folder (not sure if by EFI/Clover you mean the Clover folder inside EFI or both EFI and Clover, so I attached the whole EFI folder. Let me know if that's against some rule). Again, I edited the post and added the yt video showing what's happening in detail, but I had to replace a dot with [DOT] since it was reported as spam (which is not, clearly I'm not promoting my video, but if this is against some rule I'll remove it, just let me know)

(not sure if by EFI/Clover you mean the Clover folder inside EFI or both EFI and Clover, so I attached the whole EFI folder.

Your question is answered in FAQ, "Problem Reporting". Please read it.

To

get audio working with DarkVoid latest repo I had to load the config.plist in clover, then select "boot" and add a custom flag with "alcid=11" That worked for me. Make sure you have a space between the last flag and this one. This is assuming you took his repo "as is" and didn't do any other audio patching/tweaks.

Cool, that got my audio working. Thanks! Only things left are Bluetooth, extremely long boot times, and occasional kernel panics caused some NVME related problem. Does anyone know how to get BT working with a DW 1830 card or how to fix the very long boot times?

EDIT: I attached my problem reporting zip to this post

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Your kextcache output proves kexts are not installed correctly.
All kexts you need must be installed to the system volume.
Read post #2 of the Clover guide for details:

Coincidentally I saw this thread about undervolting
https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/331775-guide-how-to-undervolt-your-haswell-and-above-cpu/
It should apparently work with XPS 9560 according to author (abn6x) so I think that maybe will work with XPS 9360 to.
I gave it a try on my XPS 9350 i76560U Intel Iris 540 (3200x1800) running 10.14.1 (had to disable SIP (0x67) in config.plist) and to my big surprise it´s WORKING.

Skærmbillede 2018-12-04 kl. 21.58.21.png

With these cautious settings I have increased battery life at least 10% and a slight drop in temp.
After applying sudo ./voltageshift buildlaunchd (using my settings) it´s workin after every boot/reboot

Only issue is that after wake from sleep it´s not working anymore and all settings return to -0

I hope that someone here can help to solve that ?
Maybe jkbuha ?

This is a totally safe methode without risk of damage to hardware

Wake from sleep issue Solved

I changed my settings to -100 -30 -100 ran stresstest (Prime95) and it´s stable.
(better battery life and lower temperature compared to old settings)

But that's not what did it.
Here´s how
When making the sudo ./voltageshift buildlaunchd
Use these settings -XXX -XX -XXX 0 0 0 1 (replace the X values with your settings)
The last digit "1" will scheduled check the setting every 1 min. and amend if needed.

This is documented elsewhere in this topic and on the forum. There are some cases where state S3 resets watchdog and some of the run-time EFI variables, hence why you see reversion on wakeup.

The best method is to run stability tests with voltageshift and apply the optimal voltage settings to EFI. Once this is done you'll have permanent undervolting across all OSes.
