Booting from USB-Stick, Clover.zip after pressing F2 and F4 included, Displayport cable (via usb-c) connected to external monitor. stuck at booting mojave, looks like the attached screenshot. i can move the trackpad cursor over internal and extended external monitor, just noting stuck. also included is the last verbose screen, before the apple logo and the stuck progress bar. Any clue how to make the boot process continue? :) thx!

Plug external monitor only after booting, never prior.

For the log: finally managed booting into mojave using the same efi/clover posted here. something in the Mojave install must have been wrong, because Solution was:

Reinstall Mojave via working recovery partition.

And booting to desktop finally works. Sound still doesnt work, but also this will be solvable. Still looking for a Solution for sound.

Thx a lot RehabMan! And everyone Else too!

Cheerio!

(EDIT: Sound works following post-install procedure as depicted by rehabman in post #1)

fine tuning the Mojave update now:

liked the latest iteration of VoodooI2c v2.1.4 on High Sierra. this ProBook 450 G5 has Synaptics touchpad. All that was necessary was to load the 3 kexts (VoodooI2C.kext, VoodooI2CHID.kext and VoodooI2CUPDDEngine.kext) using KextBeast into /L/E and reboot. in config.plist the 2 lines disabling the AppleLPSS are active. using kextstat I see voodoops2trackpad is loaded and voodooi2c.kext and voodooi2cservices and voodoogpio. how would I enable the voodooi2c trackpad driver now? deleting voodoops2trackpad from voodoops2-plugins in the ps2 kext doesn't seem enough, because after reboot trackpad isn't responsive anymore. installed from master branch.

so my question is how to activate i2c and deactivate ps2 for this Synaptics-trackpad. if I should have posted in he voodooi2c thread please let me know.

thank you and kind regards!

Cheers!

You need, at a minimum:
- emulate Windows 10 in SSDT-XOSI
- CoolStar patches for native I2C kexts
- correct I2C kexts

I used to have an 'i2c' branch, but removed it due to the fact people without i2c hardware were trying to use it (mass confusion caused by people that don't read carefully).

I am having issues with Bluetooth working correctly in Mojave. Its very unreliable and spotty. Working perfect with HS and the same card.

Your ioreg shows BT working. You will need to attach PR files that represent the scenario where BT is not working.

I used this guide on a 430 G5 with Kaby Lake i3-7100. I installed 10.12.6. Happy to report that, contrary to the info here, HDMI output (including audio) works fine. I was even able to find a driver for the SD card reader (just Google "sinetek").
