Boots in the normal time now but ALC221 audio doesn't work with the new ALC221 kext.

For some reasons either Clover Configurator or typo mistake from your side, only first or two KernelandKextPatches are correct, the rest of the others don't have: AppleHDA as which kext do they patch, therefore no Audio expected.

Refer to the picture below, make sure all the kextstopatch have the name: AppleHDA

Good thing is that your boot time is fine and the kext seems to be loaded, therefore i think your issue should be resolved afterall.

Let's see after you correct these, if your audio works and if your boot time is ok.

Changed all names to AppleHDA in Kextstopatch. Still no audio devices. New PR files attached.

Got it, I did so. Does the HP 8300 i5-3470 work out of the box for Mojave with a connected GT 710 (in reference to the models I linked earlier in the thead)?

This looks like the best deal on Newegg.com right now. $146 after the promo code applied. Has 8GB of ram and an SSD. Grade A

I've purchased from Arrow Direct before and they have the best return policy. They pay all return shipping fees if you need to return it. Their PCs are in great condition too.

My HP 6300 with i5-3470 has everything working except slow boot ups when using AppleALC method for audio. I'm not sure if it's related to the older GT 210 card I'm using but we're still troubleshooting this.

Other than that it works great with this guide. You could also swap out the i5 for an i7-3770 as those have come down in price on Ebay.com

Looks great, you may want to remove the links to all the Sensor kexts so that people won't add those.

Yup, that’s looking like a steal. Alright, so if I purchase this, I’ll also need to grab a dedicated GPU (such as the GT 710) for it to work in Mojave due to the i5’s integrated graphics, correct ?- that is if I don’t purchase the i7 and upgrade the system.

Yes, the HD2500 is not fully supported like HD4000 so either a GT 710 or other compatible Low Profile card is required.

Hey again. So I’ve been searching around the past few days weighing different options.

I came across this HP 8300 i7 and wanted to see if you had any feedback on it :). I think it looks decent and from what we’ve previously discussed, the HD 4000 should fair great in the system (Xcode for swift, Google chrome, multitasking, macOS effects, etc)- correct?

Thanks again!

Looks like it checks all the boxes for what you want. You can use the HD4000 with Mojave right away.
If that isn't enough performance you could add a LP RX560 for supported AMD graphics.
