[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Status
Not open for further replies.
Problems:
- your config.plist is not up-to-date with respect to current github content
- drivers64UEFI is also wrong (apfs.efi should not be present, ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi takes care of it)
- your kexts/Other is not per guide
- ACPI/patched is not per guide

thanks for the info rehabman! since i cant boot into the system anymore,

1. how would i update the config.plist with respect to the github content? would i manually download it from your repo? the 620_spoofed.plist one?

2. could delete apfs.efi manually

3. + 4. how would i update kexts + acpi-patched correctly without access to the system?

thanks so much!

You can probably boot your system from a USB prepared according to the guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

If you have an issue, you must describe it with detail.
And you must attach problem reporting files.

thanks will have to re-read the guide and have another try and fresh start over again.
- can install mac OS X but no wifi and other system functions.

Hi RehabMan, hello everybody!

thanks for your advice, trying to boot from USB prepared according to the mentioned guide. attached is the clover-folder after pressing f2 and f4. i am getting many ACPI-Errors, after which the screen jumps to an apple and an empty progress bar. any clue what is missing? tried copying the ACPI/patched folder from the formerly working HS to the USB-stick, still getting those api error's. if the config_620.plist the correct config plist? tried both the 620 and 620_spoofed.plist, both give me the same api errors. manually copying appleUIsupport-64.efi into drivers64uefi-folder on the usb helps as such as it makes the api-errors disappear. then screen is switching to apple logo and empty progress bar, still things hanging there.
Also attached Clover 2.zip, there i use the 620_spoofed.plist and have added the appleUIsupport-64.efi manually, zip done after pressing f2 and f4.

Thx for your invaluable help!

Cheers!

No verbose boot photo attached. Please read the FAQ, "Problem Reporting" carefully.
Also, please fix your profile as per FAQ. Before your next reply.

USB installer Clover setup does not use patched ACPI.

Not sure i did it completely right, but what i did was:

1. attached the last verbose screen photo before the apple and empty progress bar comes up
2. read the problem reporting faq
3. fixed my profile by adding the laptops data HP Probook 450 G5, i5 8250, UHD 620, 16 GB RAM, trying to boot Mojave from SSD in my personal profile page, not in the signature only.

If there's more i can do, of course i will ;)

thanks a lot and kind regards!

Your profile is missing screen resolution.
What do you mean by "empty progress bar"?
You should try invalid ig-platform-id (0x12345678).
