Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

No need for FakePCIID-Broadcom-Wifi.kext now? for BCM94352z?

Hi,

the Bluetooth does not work with Mojave. I cannot find any Bluetooth adapter in system information.
I've the BCM94360.

Can someone tell me, please, how to fix it?

I think you mean FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext (no such thing as FakePCIID-Broadcom-Wifi.kext).
And yes, it can be replaced with AirportBrcmFixup.kext (it takes care of certain required patches in KextsToPatch as well).

Thank you very much for your time!

But I have the card FV-T919 which is bluetooth compatible.

I tried with the kext
  • BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext
  • BrcmPatchRAM2.kext
but the bluetooth is just not there.

Any suggestion?

EDIT:

It works now!

I installed the kext in Library/Extensions

AirportBrcmFixup.kext
Lilu.kext
BrcmPatchRAM2.kext
BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext

and I deleted

USBInjectAll.kext

from EFI/Clover/kexts/10.14

Clarification of Intel's new M.2 CNVi WiFi/BT Standard.

From this document its clear that there is no way to make a standard M.2 WiFI BT card (either key type E or A+E) work in a CNVi M.2 slot even though it's a M.2 Key type E connector and will physical fit ... thats the bad news.

I have this problem with GA-H370N, neither of bcm94352 works.
But I'm wondering about
successes with these boards on GA-Z370N.
These cards are supposed to be the same in terms of wifi-bt.
Does it mean z370n has different CNVi connector that support wifi cards or it has different firmware?

Thanks

@verzunof,

CNVi is an Intel standard so there will be no difference between a CNVi slot on a H370N chipset motherboard to a Z370N chipset. Although physically similar to a M.2 type E slot the pin configuration of a CMVi M.2 slot is in-compatible with a standard M.2 type E keyed device. Only CNVi devices will work in a CNVi slot.

Best thing to do is to remove the CNVi card and install PCIe based solution if you have spare PCIe slot, if not then use a standard M.2 combo card in M.2 adapter as detailed in my post (as long as you have spare M.2 slot available).

Cheers
Jay

Z370N (Kaby Lake chipset) does not use Intel CNVi WiFi, bcm94352 replaces Intel Wifi and works.
H370N (Coffee Lake chipset) uses Intel CNVi WiFi, bcm94352 only works in another M.2 slot with an adapter. See KevinAgnes/Post #358.

Z370 is also Coffee Lake, however, according to this article, does not have CNVi
Author is wrong and did not do appropriate research
"Z390 motherboards released a year after Z370 and added the niceties introduced in the more mainstream options."
Z390/Coffee Lake chip set includes silicon CNVi "niceties," USB 3.1 Gen 2, etc.
Z370/Kaby Lake chip set does not include CNVi, however, supports Coffee Lake processors
An unplanned Intel consequence, all 200 Series motherboards support Coffee Lake processors (BIOS updated required)

Coffee Lake - Wikipedia/Chipsets:
The enthusiast Z370 (a rebranded Z270), launched alongside the first Coffee Lake CPUs in October 2017 ...
