Yoga 720 try out High Sierra (issues)

I'm working on a Whatevergreen build for this this laptop . Without that I've been able to get it to the login screen but it crashes shortly after login and reboots.

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".

The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:

Have anyone get jack output solidly working? The best I've got - right sound only on first jack plug. Distored sound after.

This's achieved via appleALC with 11 layout.

I was getting DW1560 and DW1830 at similar price on ebay. So, I ordered DW1830 :). Hopefully I will be able to get it working. Where did you connect the third antenna? I read somewhere that the two antennas were embedded into display, Do I have to open it?. I also need to figure out which screwdriver I need to use to open my laptop, hopefully a torx T7 should be good enough.

Ehi! I know this post is sooo old, but did you have problems with DW1560 on yoga 720? I mean problem with the whitelist or something like that...thank you!
 
No problems at all. Almost works better on the Mac than windows.

So you mean there's no whitelist anymore? I'm waiting for my DW1560 cause I have the Yoga 730 15ikb and I was wondering if it will work or not but I didn't find someone in my situation...so there's no whitelist?
 
Not sure about other models and the whitelist in general but like I said, I've got the DW 1560 in my Yoga 720 and have had no issues. I've got the fakeID kexts for wifi and brcmfirmware kexts for bluetooth installed and have no problems. BTW, the card works fine in Ubuntu and Win7 on the Yoga as well. No Idea about the Yoga 730 though.

Thank you so much for your answer! I’m going to do this updated guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/broadcom-wifi-bluetooth-guide.242423/ to use the dw1560 when it will be in my hands! Hope it will work good.
