The guide plists have kernel patches that make it easier to get the KP photo.
Also, you should get a KP report if your NVRAM is implemented correctly.



You will need to provide details ("problem reporting" files) and KP report.
No exceptions.

try RehabMan-FakeSMC-2018-0915.zip on your sandy bridge laptop.
you can see instant reboot after apple logo. at least 3/5 over many times
it's hard to catch kernel panic log.
anyways RehabMan-FakeSMC-2018-0403.zip is best ever without instant reboot(never experienced) since 10.6~10.14.2 beta2.

Hello RehabMan,
i followed the latest guide you made for installing macOs Mojave.
now i'm experience kernal panics and the Bluetooth mouse keeps disconnecting, i'm using a Bluetooth dongle to make it work.

Hi, before buying my first laptop for mackintosh - got noob questions about guide !

Q. Is it possible to preserve my existing Windows installation?

Is it also possible to preserve by installing/configuring macOS on external drive ?
i.e. : install Clover/macOS and patch on external USB boot as primary - make a real internal drive clover dual boot when everything is working

If your discrete device (AMD Radeon or Nvidia) is not routed through the Intel GPU, then it is considered dedicated. Some laptops have the internal display connected to the Intel GPU and the external HDMI/DP port connected to the discrete graphics device. It is rare, but in that case you would be able to get the device to work with the external display with proper kexts and correct configuration, much like a dual-GPU desktop setup.

I read many laptop guides indicating "Hdmi not working" - Is it mostly because HDMI port is connected to discrete graphic ? or are there unsolved known HDMI issues when disabling dedicated discrete graphics ?

Q. Is Intel Coffee Lake graphics supported?
Coffee Lake graphics and brightness controls are a work-in-progress.
First native support in a normal macOS build is available in Mojave 10.14.

"native support" means well : no need graphic clover patch with Mojave after disabling discrete ?
(interested in because plan to buy a HP i7-8550U laptop with dedicated nvidia MX130)

I have done it before, but it requires properly working USB.
The FAQ has infor regarding proper USB configuration.
Hint: USB configuration is best done in post-install, therefore making it difficult to use as an installation target.

HDMI not working is either due to incorrect framebuffer configuration (eg. in the case of Intel attached to HDMI), or HDMI connected to the DGPU and the DGPU not working due to wrong drivers, incorrect configuration, or even non-existent drivers.

Graphics drivers must always be configured, and there may be patches required to match DVMT-prealloc, or port layout.

Noted - thanks! was thinking wrong that just adding USBInjectAll.kext (with no custom SSDT at first step) into clover external drive kext make the drive targetable for installer

hi,
i would like to understand how to know if my laptop can work with supported wifi card like BCM94352 or not ?
because in the officiel manual said that
HP ENVY TouchSmart 15 j067cl WLAN module supported:
Atheros AR9485
Mediatek MT7630E
Ralink RT3290LE
Realtek RTL8188EE (installed on my machine but not compatible)
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 Combo
is that mean it will work only with these cards (whitelist)
or how?
