Stork's MyHero II Build: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z370 HERO X - i7-8700K - AMD RX 580 - Thunderbolt 3

Thanks. But how can I mount the EFI partition, I only have / See the clover boot screen.

You can do it on your USB flash drive. Then choose to boot from the USB boot drive.

Hi Stork! I have already a iMac 2015 but thinking about get the same build as you made.

But I have a problem, the 580 RX Pulse are out of stock... but, they're selling the 580 Pulse "Lite", maybe this "lite" card be incompatible? The difference on 570 and 580 Lite are only 20€ !

Ok, I booted from USB - got only the help program and the terminal.
Sorry, but I am stuck here, (a real NOOB) how can I boot the EFI partition to copy your files to it?

You need to do it from another Mac or hackintosh.

I think it's possible to mount the EFI partition of your USB flash drive in Windows but I've never tried this.

I think it's also possible from Linux but, again, I've never tried this.

I had the same doubt. I only managed to find one of those supposed "lite" rx580. what's different is the part number:
Lite is usually 11265-06-20G while the old one is 11265-05-20G.
You can see both version under specifications on http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?lang=eng&pid=77B48A1E-9FCB-4F19-BC2D-17C3087E4852. I don't know why some website sell it as lite (maybe opposed to Nitro) but to me it's just a 2nd revision of the classic rx580.

Mine is working perfectly, so i can vouch for this version to be compatible.

I managed to get thru the install, and install the MultiBeast part. Now, when I rebooted the computer and selected the the internal SSD UEFI, it booted into Clover 4630 but there is now drive option shown.....

But, when I boot from the USB, I can see the MacOS drive, and, then, I can boot into High Sierra.

The macOS installer creates a couple of "containers" like partitions. So, you'll see them as well as your macOS disk name.

After your run MultiBeast and before you reboot (as I mention in my procedures), check to see if your macOS disk name is in the Boot "area" of the config.plist.

I was able to get it going by adding APFS.EFI to the clover boot efi. On you Asus board does it automatically switch boot drives to the last drive that you booted? Is there a way to force it to always reboot to the clover drive?

No. You select your default boot drive in the BIOS (see OP). Then, when you run MultiBeast, it will add your (installed macOS) boot drive to config.plist Boot parameter list.

Hopefully, this answers your question.

The issue is if I boot into clover and then select my windows drive it boot perfectly. But when I restart it auto boots to windows without booting the clover drive. Then when I check Asus bios it shows the windows drive as the primary boot drive even tho I switched it to the clover drive.
