Unable to boot into Unibeast thumbdrive

So i'm having some issues with re-installing my hackintosh. I have a system running mountain lion that i built in 2013 but recently wanted to update to mojave. I simply bought a new ssd so i am still able to switch back and forth between mountain lion and mojave and wouldn't have to give up my old working installation. I heard installing OSX was supposed to be easier than it was in 2013 but i'm running into troubles from the very start.

So i've made a Unibeast install drive on a 16gb USB 2.0 thumbdrive multible times and it always successfully creates the drive. I've tried mojave, high sierra, with or without injecting Nvidia, every possible combination of options but i can never get my system to booth into it. It either says it doesn't recognise the OS or gives me an error message: "Can't mach kernal'. I tried entering this command: System/library/Kernals/kernal into chimera (the chimera installed on my old build) after reading it as a fix on this forum but it just says: "no operating system found". Maybe it has something to do with multibeast? If i understand correctly u are just supposed to drop the multibeast folder into your installed unibeast drive right? I'll add a screenshot of the contents of the unibeast install drive for clarification.

I'm kind of stuck here so if anyone can help me out here I would greatly appreciate it!

That paragraph is very very difficult to read. I am going to try to remove the unrelated and isolate the problem and see if there's some help.

Maybe it has something to do with multibeast? If i understand correctly u are just supposed to drop the multibeast folder into your installed unibeast drive right? I'll add a screenshot of the contents of the unibeast install drive for clarification.

No. Multibeast is for post installation. You have it in your drive so once you finish the installation, you can easily install the required kexts.

Where exactly? When in the boot process? Does it load the installer? Pictures of this would help everyone.

Your flash drive with multibeast OS should be plenty, so I'd suggest you to approach it like a fresh install and don't bother with chimera. One thing that has worked for me is physically unplugging the other hard disk (for you that's the one with Snow Leopard).

Thanks for the reply ISA08. Sorry for the poor english, I am not a native speaker. I thought i made the issue quite clear but apparently not.

My rig just does not load the installer at all, I can't get into the install process. I will go through the process step by step:

1: I insert the completed unibeast thumb drive into a usb 2.0 port of my computer (i have disconnected all the other drives besides the empty ssd i wish to install osx on)

2: I turn on the pc and hold down f12 to choose a booth device, I then choose the usb drive

3: I get this message (see attached image)

Thats it, thats where I am at.

ExtremeGamer, The same thing was happening to me. I found that I had to Erase the whole USB drive, not just the partition. In Disk Utility, select View/All or something like that and then it will show you two levels of the USB drive. Then, select the top option and Erase and format that. Then recreate the Unibeast install and you should be good to go.

Doesn't seem to be working for me. Still the same results as before. Attached screenshots show the drive in disk utility. Maybe there is a different way of erasing the drive using terminal?

Just gonna give this another bump...

try this to format you USB:

Open Terminal.app
Type: diskutil list
Find your USB in diskX, where X is the number of the USB.
Type: diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ USB diskX

Now you have your USB formatted in HFS+ Journaled.

Then, reinstall Unibeast to see if this works.

Already tried this and still no dice. I just keep getting the "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" message no matter what i do it seems...
