Hi folks - I was able to update to 10.14.1 without any issue OTA, but after the update some of my USB ports seem to have disappeared. I have a feeling the answer is that I need to get my act together and make a custom SSDT but I figured I'd ask here first. Oddly enough my AlpineRidge TB/USB-C ports are still working, and at least one of the ports on my front panel.

Edit - solved by following RehabMan's advice and making a custom SSDT. Works like a charm, really wasn't that hard.

Listen to RehabMan, I've had ZERO USB problems for the last two years... and yes, I'm now running 10.14.1

uh, yeah, tried reading that post and creating a custom SSDT isn't exactly straight forward. anyone have a shortcut?

I believe there's no shortcut, I didn't create custom SSDT until now and just get my USB 3 work agin after install 10.14.1.

I've read the article a couple times. I can totally spend an hour or two doing this. I just couldn't tell from the article if this was going to be a quick thing, an hour or two, or an all-day project.

Once you know what you're doing, it is about 20 minutes per machine.
