Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Thank you for your reply. Here attached are the diagnosis file.
I realise now that I am posting this on the wrong thread as my built is a High Sierra 10.13.6

And here the summery of the problems I have:
- The sound output at the back of the device (speaker out) generates very low quality thin sound that lacks base.
- The OpenCL seems not be working very effectively. While in a video edit software, playback of H.246 codec videos is not smooth.

After a cursory look, your setup looks to be as expected.

And here the summery of the problems I have:
- The sound output at the back of the device (speaker out) generates very low quality thin sound that lacks base.

It is typical of AppleHDA audio on hacks.
No known solution.

I use HDMI/DP audio for my audio output most of the time.

- The OpenCL seems not be working very effectively. While in a video edit software, playback of H.246 codec videos is not smooth.

I don't have any issue here playing back video (youtube, etc.). Of course, I don't use video editing software (I'm a software dev, not a film maker).

First time for me to install macOS non a non-Mac. Smooth sailing thanks to this guide. Thank you!

Up next: figuring out how to enable FileVault.

thanks to this guide everything went smooth and now is working ok, except hdmi audio, system reads fakepciid.kext loaded but fakepciid intel hdmi audio.kext not. intel nuc6i3syh.

Also, please fix your profile...there is no mention of any NUC in your profile.

ok hope that's it

Much too large. Clearly, you didn't use gen_debug.sh as requested.
Please read post #25 carefully.

Thanks as always RehabMan for the clear instructions. I had been running my Skull Canyon NUC with macOS 10.12.6 and just upgraded to Mojave 10.14.0.

I have a Samsung PM961 NVMe boot drive, which required the HackrNVMeFamily.kext in 10.12.6. 10.14 supports the PM961 natively. My NUC failed to boot after upgrading and reported a conflict with the Apple NVMe driver in verbose mode, but I removed the HackrNVMeFamily.kext (by booting the installer and using the Terminal), and now Mojave boots from NVMe. This might be worth adding to the HOWTO.

My monitor is a 4K ASUS PB287Q, and it works over DP as before including scaled HiDPI resolutions. In 10.12.6, turning the monitor off and back on would make macOS hang or reboot, but in 10.14 that seems to be fixed, so three cheers!

No audio over DP (as was the case in 10.12.6), but I haven’t spent any time on that yet and intend to investigate further.
