I have another post with a bit more detail on my exact issue in the Mojave thread. No replies yet...but before I make another thread, I just wanted to know if anyone had any luck with Hackintosh builds (either late version HS or Mojave) and HD 530 IG.

I'm having constant video freezing issues and I just want to know if this is something that "should" work or if I should just look into investing in a dedicated graphics card.

I'm having the same issue. Mojave only recognizes 5mb of VRAM.

I believe that might be a separate issue that require the Framebuffer patch (Lilu + Whatevergreen). You can probably do a search for that one.

But just out of curiosity...are you also experiencing random freezes during the playing of video or animation?

Thank you! I've tried HDMI and DVI on my board and they're both responding the same. I've installed the Lilu + Whatevergreen patches with multibeast, but I'm not sure if anything else needs to be set for my board. Without acceleration, videos played online will freeze, and ones played in iTunes, Photos, or QuickTime won't even start.

I think you also have to do some manual customization along with loading those kexts. There is a guide in this site.

But you say you get no acceleration? How did you confirm that? Is it showing you have Metal support in System Report?

I don't believe acceleration can be enabled when the system doesn't recognize the correct amount of VRAM? Also, I don't see a place to check Metal support.

yeah you might have a different issue than mine. In my report, everything looks perfectly fine. In fact, everything runs perfectly fine in terms of graphic acceleration...except for the eventual freeze/crash.

BTW, how do you attach photos?

Thanks! I'll keep looking for a solution! Drag and drop your photos into the reply box to add them to a post or reply.

One thing I noticed...what's your DeviceID set to for your graphics card?
