My BIOS version is 5XCN20WW and I’m on APFS.

i'm on the same bios as tuxtard, could it help to flash back to your version?

Here is the BIOS exe file: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/5XCN20WW.exe

Enable BIOS Back Flash option from BIOS (press F2 at startup), make sure Windows Boot Manager is the first boot option, boot into Windows and run the exe file.

Keep in mind that flashing the BIOS comes with a possibility of bricking your machine. Do it at your own risk.

Backflash is enabled and Windows bootloader is the first boot option.

No idea. Perhaps you should try looking for the right exe file.

Tried the one straight from lenovo's site no succes either.
They updated a lot of things in the latest revision maybe that's the reason I can't flash back.

Did you set 'BIOS Back Flash' to 'Enabled' in BIOS.

I was wrong my bios version is 4KCN40WW with a 4 isntead of a 5 like u guys? This one is the latest listed on the lenovo website.

Yes it is enabled.

Then your machine is a Lenovo Legion Y520-15IKBN with an 'N' at the end, not 'M'.

Try different BIOS versions, maybe newer, maybe older.

Would that be the problem then for the blank screen? Me having another model of y520?
I had the blank screen on the older bios as well that's why I flashed the newer one.

What is your monitor model? My monitor model is LP156WF6-SPK3.Maybe this is the reason for the black screen?
