[solved] Audio Realtek ALC 255 & 256

After you install your kexts correctly (including FakeSMC...),
You should try all valid AppleALC layout-id values (for your audio codec).
Try each, both with and without FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext.
Tried all the layouts again and injected them with and without FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext. Also added CodecCommander.kext but it also didn't work. I injected the layout id's in both 'config.plist/Devices/Properties/PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x1f,3)/Layoutid' as 'config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject' slots

Try ResetHDA=false.
What other layout-id values did you try?
What were the results of each?

I tried 3, 13, 17, 18, 27, 28, 99, also with ResetHDA=false
There are no results at all. Every time after restarting I open Audio Midi Setup and System Preferences Sound. I hope to see 'internal speakers' appearing but it only shows 'Apple Tv'.

Try with debug version of AppleALC.kext... maybe you can get some logs from AppleALC in kernel_log.txt (none there now, which is strange).

okay i got it working by reapplying the audio layout id 3 patch in the dsdt
how do you apply a layout id patch in dsdt?

Is there a guide for editing kernel_log.txt?

It is not something you "edit". It is something you examine after collecting...

SOLVED! Tried all possible solutions, and I don't know what did it in the end (could it be a patched DSDT with Windows 17.2 patch?), but for those with the same laptop:

ResetHDA:Yes
Audio inject - none
Properties Layout-id 17

Debugversion of APPLEALC.kext and FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext.
Many thanks for the support RehabMan!

Could you please upload a debug?
