Nvidia Drivers for Mojave 10.14 Not Available, no WorkAround works well

Sep 24 to Oct 8, this is insane, How long will it take for Nvidia to develop new drivers for Mojave?
I am never gonna buy a Nvidia card. I am not even able to login to forums.geforce.com. It's so frustrating. No one is even responding to my query from Nvidia.

I have updated more than 10 systems with GTX 1070/GTX 1080. Now I have to revert back to high sierra.

Can anyone tell me why is it taking so much time for them to release a driver? The beta released in June. This is a basic requirement for a company to release the driver before the actual OS release.

Is there any way to revert back to high sierra without wiping out user data?
Please reply
Cause Mojave use a new API primary (Metal 2) and Nvidia need a time to optimize GPU's for this.

I know that it's using a new API, so-called Metal 2. But the beta released in June. Don't you think 4 months is enough for developing a new driver?

Got a Gigabyte RX570-8G-MI cheap, will clean install later today.

Update:
Works, with Metal support in Sys Diagnostics: 'feature set macOS GPUFamily2 v1'.
Works even without WhateverGreen.kext (only DVI-D tested though).

Mojave boots to black screen, if you have CsmVideoDxe-64.efi in drivers64UEFI Clover folder. Without CsmVideoDxe-64.efi clover GUI and login screens are 1024x768 - ugly, looking for a solution. Seems I need to disable CSM in bios, but no such setting...

idk, maybe it will take a half of year. Or nvidia just too lazy to do drivers in time.

Thank you guys. I will Report back as soon as I got the card.

Will the Radeon Pro WX 2100 2Gb work OOB?
Thanks.

No although it’s Polaris it is “Lexa” like the RX 550 series. There is no device ID for it in any of the drivers.
Neither of these cards will work for now. There is one possibility the Sapphire RX 550 Pulse, it has 0x67ef as the device ID but it is a cut down board with less CUs so it may work but the drivers may not be optimal for it.

What range of memory usage are others seeing with AMD cards (specifically I have the Vega 64)? I'm getting periods of close to 100% (from iStat Menu readings) just browsing the web in Firefox Developer Edition - seems odd. I never checked what I was getting on the 1080 unfortunately, so asking for a point of reference. Also getting some odd behavior in a 2D graphics program (Sketch, v52.1) where it seems like the UI will freeze for a second, and then quickly catch up the actions that took place while frozen. Haven't noticed this with any other apps.

Right now staying on Nvidia is just begging for trouble.

Even if the driver comes out like tomorrow, you're going to have to do driver-waiting/begging/praying game again every single 10.14.x update. It's pretty obvious now going AMD is the way to go if you want smooth sailing at this point forward.

That was my take on the issue, from what I read everywhere, it'll likely be months. Then I recalled all the pain with every update, and bought RX570 for $160 USD on ebay.com.au. New install, so far so good :)

My case, Antec Aria NSK1380, has a very strict restriction on card height though. The Gigabyte RX 570 Gaming 8G MI (mining) was the lowest height, 116mm. It fit with not a mil to spare :)

Mine was booting to black screen too, but I changed my HDMI cable (and the port it was connected to on the monitor, HDMI2 instead of HDMI1) and it works fine now. No need to disable CSM in BIOS and no need to remove that file either.
