@kgp the recent post from @alineliodor with GC Titan Ridge implementation is very encouraging and also after reading all the posts from Rulebreaker01 about recent progress in implementation with GC Titan Ridge, I said to you last week it is important for me to wait a while and the time is up now : so I'm about to order a GC Titan Ridge on Amazon US ;)

You will find an even more encouraging recent feedback to my GC-Titan Ridge approach HERE ;)

Thanks . You're right my card it is in the Slot 1. I forgot about the firmware . I'll give that a try:thumbup: . Out of curiosity anybody here experience a faint buzz sound like coming from video card when running graphic intensive tasks (games , movies etc.) ? I tried 3 different video cards and all had this noise more or less. Thanks in advance

I was able to test a Lacie rugged TB2 drive today. Connected to my RAID enclosure using TB2-TB3 adapter. Hot-plug mounted and unmountrd without issue.

Got my replacement Titan Ridge today, but sadly it looks like it doesn't support Apple Thunderbolt Display. Hopefully future firmware updates will fix that.

Also my Nitro+ RX Radeon Vega 64 8GB shows some coil whine, when squeezed during graphic intensive tasks, although so far only under Windows.

Apparently the GC-Titan Ridge perfectly works on X299 with a LG 5K UltraFine :headbang:.. see this feedback !

Thats great, but I just finished X99 refresh...X299 can wait a bit. :)
However I have been going over the idea of adding a second 5k display, just don't know if 1 Vega 64 can handle it.

Oh it will handle it no problem.

Source? or it didn't happen...

Um these modern graphic cards especially the higher end ones like Vega 64 will easily handle it.

The iMac Pro (Internal 5k display) has a Vega 56/64 with 8GB/16GB HBM2 RAM and allows you to connect a 2nd or even 3rd LG 5k monitor via Thunderbolt 3.

I personally have 2x 38" 3840x1600 monitors via DP on a Vega FE and it's smooth as butter. I connected 2 more 2x27" Apple Cinema Displays (2560x1440) for the heck of it and it was all smooth.

There are people who run dual 5k monitors even with a MacBook Pro and a regular iMac. Look it up online.

Now connecting a TB3 5K display (or even dual) on a Hackintosh I can't comment on because I haven't tried it myself even if my machine has built in TB3 ports. I just use DisplayPort myself.
