What about the panic on boot with the 2.1 release? Everything works just fine with 2.0.3. Have you applei2c patches in clover config from CoolStar? lines 34 to 57
There is a workaround for Mojave. Yes,I have it in my config.
Smart Zoom, double tap with two fingers is working for you? Pinch and spread to zoom is working for you? Thanks.
Everything works except you need 5 fingers to active 4 finger gestures.

Is anyone getting a trackpad freeze/crash with I2C v.2.1 whenever a USB device is plugged in?

Reverting to 2.0.3 solves the issue. Can't seem to find a similar issue on github, just want to double check I'm not missing anything obvious before I post a bug.

Check the option of disabling the touchpad while usb mouse connected in system preferences.

No, this is something else. All USB devices (fobs, measurement devices, drives) cause a trackpad freeze with VoodooI2C v2.1 and macOS 10.12.6. I'll log the issue and see what surfaces...

I use darkvoid's setting and encountered power drain.

My laptop info , 8250u and 8gb ram with a 1080p display, swapped with a mx500 SATA m.2 ssd ,SD card reader is disabled.

Under Windows 10, Idle is about 4 watt/s and normal usage is about 6 or 7watts per second, heavy load will about to TDP. The average battery consumption is 1% for 10min pdf reading in power-save mode(cpu is locked at 800MHz). That mean I had 15 hours screen on time.
Under a well optimized linux, Idle only costs 2 watt per second , I know that sounds ridiculous but it's true.
As for macOS, Idle is about 7 watt/s and web browsing is about 10 watt/s , coding in VSCode is about 13 watt/s.
The consumption is relatively high compare to other OS, and I had use cpu friend and data to inject frequency vector, the frequency of cpu seems normal(800MHz when Idle), but the battery still drain.

I guess that there are something had not set correctly, but when I compare to IOReg dump from real MBP, there are some different, one is Thunderbolt and the other is USB device and apple T2, and that also use HWP.
I think the problem is not relate to these difference because that HWMonitor and Intel's power gadget tell me that cpu package is about 2 watt/s when idle.

And I see @bozma88 claims that he can get 10 hours with 100% backlight of display. It can be easily reach in linux and windows but not in macOS for me.
But I had no clue to resolve the problem, any advice?

i am guessing you are still running the original SSD on it? as far as i know, NVMe power management does not work properly with 3rd party SSDs like that stock one, you'll have to replace it with an M.2 SATA SSD instead to get better power consumption (i haven't done this either yet, idling at 6-7 watt as well)

Please try latest v2.1.4. I suspect it should be fixed with the change I've committed to VoodooI2CHID.

With the native multitouch emulation, the OS should be able to ignore trackpad input by itself, if an external mouse/trackpad is connected (If set in SysPrefs, of course). Therefore @the-darkvoid 's detection code can be disabled by default. If it is the source of the problem, and I suspect it really is, it should now be solved.
This is still useful with older OS's which doesn't support the Magic Trackpad 2, or systems with only single touch supported (so mouse emulation is used, and not native gesture engine).

Yep, works great now, same feelings like on a real macbook.

Is anyone here running Mojave yet? i just upgraded blindly after updating my kexts and i can't get the KBL framebuffer to load, only VESA working (when disabling InjectIntel). Using WhateverGreen + Lilu but i'm not sure if i need to configure anything for 10.14? I used InjectIntel and FakeID in Clover previously, which now doesn't seem to work anymore.

I tried configuring Devices/Properties/ properly, however when i use the same platform-id and device-id i used previously in clover (but reversed of course) i also get a kernel panic
