I have a really weird situation.

High sierra worked fine. Updated clover, downloaded Mojave from App Store, installed and it restarted..

Now i just get a black screen. Even when i try to boot from a Carbon Copy clone or a USB rescue disk - it keeps showing the same black screen. Scratching my head.

Anyone point me in the right direction to fix this thing...

There are no Mojave web drivers for your graphics card (yet), are you able to boot with nv_disable=1 ?

I cant even get to the clover screen. As soon as the ASUS logo disappears on boot, i get this black screen...

You might try a CMOS reset then.

So we’ve progressed.

After pulling out the onboard battery and placing it back, i get this screen now...

Ok, I’ve tried again and set all the mobo options in the installation guide to their correct settings except for

If your system has IO Serial Port, disable it

which I couldn’t find.

I don’t get the unauthorised firmware warning anymore but i get the initial black screen again.

Any thoughts?

Anyone else experienced this?

try to boot from usb thumb drive that you used to install last os with UniBeast

then check " efi/clover/driver64uefi/ " if you have any missing file

if you find any missing file copy if from the usb thumb drive efi

Im not sure if this is the issue you have guys here but I hope it helps

  • I find on your Personal details Gigabyte GTX 950 as the PCIE Graphics and your CPU has associated Intel® HD Graphics 4600
    • Which card are you connecting the Monitor digitally?
    • What are your BIOS options for Graphics?
  • I expect your system to boot if you use your IGFX after setting the BIOS to use it , then Reboot and immediately shut down, remove the PCIE card and connect the cable to HDMI of Intel HD 4600 and boot back into BIOS to make sure you still see IGFX as Initial Display and it has DVMT Pre-Allocated at least 64 M (best is 128M) and you are booting with your system disk as First boot device.
  • In Clover Boot Manager screen, you need to make the following changes :
  • Go to Options>Boot Args : -v dart=0 -disablegfxfirmware
  • Go to GraphicsInjector-> and edit as shown in the uploaded image
  • ESC > Go to Clover Boot Manager(CBM) Screen and now boot your System disk and upload screen shot of any problem screen
  • If you succeed to boot, then edit your config.plist _Boot_Device and Graphics SECTIONS .
