[FIX] HD4200/HD4400/HD4600/HD5600 on 10.11+

Hi i've just recently completed installing High sierra 10.13.4

sound, Network, Usb it all works fine except the graphic card. I also already add the ig-platfor-id and the intelGfx in config.plist but whenever i trying to inject the intel graphic card it keeps showing me the kextd stall [n] = 'IGPU' error.

Hi guys,

I'm having some troubles getting my HD4600 working property. On boot i'm getting fuzzy graphics on laptop display.

HDMI graphics are working properly (no sound yet, i don't really need it).
I've also noticed that closing and reopening the lid the fuzziness get fixed, and the display works as expected. I can also get it to work by changing the display resolution and change it back using the 2nd monitor or VNC with or without HDMI connected.

DSDT is patched with recommended patches and battery fix (ASUS-G75vw) and also have disabled discrete gpu (DSDT and SSDT's).

I'm not sure about the laptop's display connection type it might be eDP, i couldn't find that info on Intel CC.
IOReg shows port type as LVDS and i tired to patch it to eDP with the same results (checked IOReg and it was changed).

Also tried all listed ig-platform-id's for Hashell mobile with no better results. Either had fuzzy display or no graphics acceleration.

The build is a WIP, so the config might be a bit messy.
It's a fresh install from vanilla image only with battery and audio fixes/kexts (on EFI).

Hi Rehabman,

My problem is can't boot with valid ig-platform-id (0x0a260006) even after enable injecting EDID and I try to boot with ''cpus=1'' then ''-x'' but still no success,

all this data collected its invalid g-platform-id (0x12345678) because I can't boot with valid g-platform

my laptop is
Laptop: HP Revolve 810 ( Clover - Mojave)
CPU: i7-4600U
GPU:i ntel HD4400
Ram: 8GB
SSD: 256GB

there are any way to make my vRAM get a normal value and boot normal

Im already made 4 laptops with hd 4000 without problem but this time with this graphics hd4400 its problematic .even I tried same boot usb with changing Plist boot other laptop with hd 4000 its work good, I mean everything with boot usb is ok except plist looks like its issue here ..without success so that i report a problem . Can you pleas check the attach files to tell me where is my mistake ?

"Problem Reporting" files are incomplete.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

One problem I see is a hardware/BIOS/IMEI firmware issue: You have no IMEI on PCIe bus (in ioreg). It is a requirement for macOS/OS X. When IMEI is not present, you will get the stall on IGPU as shown in your verbose boot. You will be able to boot safe mode (with valid ig-platform-id) as it excludes the graphics accelerator kext (QE) which is the code having an IMEI dependency.

You need to fix your IMEI.

Also, you're not using current config.plist from the guide...

I Used the gen_debug.sh tool collect the reporting ( zip file in attach )

!!! anyway what you suggest for me order to fix IMEI ? I'm already update last Bios Firmware which is release recently (15-AUG-2018).

Is the laptop new from HP? Or did you purchase used?
You could try BIOS reset, CMOS reset, EC reset, re-flash BIOS, or do some research on IMEI firmware flash.
