hi all,

Sorry for putting the clock back but just wanted to check. The screen turns to black when I decrease the brightness to the lowest. I mean pure black, not dark. And it doesn't come back to normal when I increase the brightness. Whenever I do decrease it to the lowest, I have to reastart the laptop. I was wondering if it's something that only happens on my hackintosh. Btw, its 10.12.6 sierra.

Another thing is the battery indicator. Mine shows like it's about to die all the time. I've installed the RehabMan's latest kext(RehabMan-Battery-2018-0915 (1)). Otherwise, it doesn't even shows the battery at all.

As expected. It is as per Apple design.

Sounds like you didn't follow the guide:

I didn't know that, lol

You mean ,below? So, it's normal being not able to bring the light back without reset?

"Known Problems

Fade to black after initial installation: Press your brightness up key."

To be honest, I didn't. I had my installation using a guide from a different website as the one here seems a little complicated to me. Because I'm new and can't really understand the terms, codes etc. The one I used was for newbies with pictures and etc. I will try to go by your guide once I'm able to understand the whole context because I'm sure the guide you provided here would make my laptop runs the OSX smoother than ever.

My recommendation...

Follow the guide as written:

Then, I will asking tons of questions at every step that I can not understand :)
