Brief question about the update to 10.14. If I update, does anything in the EFI folder change? I am concerned about the system id etc. getting modified. In a more general vein, if I update my efi configuration for instance by downloading a new folder by KGP, do I need to observe anything specific outside retaining/reinserting the system id and serial numbers in config.plist?
Thanks!

Everything described in my guide.. Usually it is sufficient to add serial, board serial, SMUUID and TSCAdjustReset.kext in my EFi-Folder distribution. Don't forget to manually unlock MSR kernel write in your BIOS settings. Else add the latest version of your kexts and SSDTs or follow section "Post Installation".

Good luck,

KGP

Thanks for the information. I apologise for the confusion. I already have a working x299 system up and running with 10.13 on it thanks to your guide, for which I thank you very much. My question was about updating the EFI folder (for instance when you post a new EFI folder on the guide site or when updating MacOS to a completely new version (such as 10.14)). My understanding from your reply is that under these circumstances (i.e. from a functional x299 system based on your guide), I only need to add the serial, board serial and SMUUID to the "new" config.plist for iMessage etc. to remain functional.
Thank you!

Ultimate Compact (+ possible Mac Pro?): X299 miniITX + Core i9 7980XE:

Today was my first try of installing Mojave to my PC.

The first problem I experienced is APFS. I have UnSolid.kext in Clover of my USB installer, but still, after installation - my NVMe SSD is APFS. Before installation, I formatted SSD as GUID HFS+... But seems like installer overwrites it with APFS.

Am I doing something wrong here?

(I actually continued post-install procedure, but I will first try to install to HFS+, and then continue with post-install. Next problem will be enabling onboard 10gbe adapters. @djlild7hina - I was hoping for your help but after I fix this APFS thing. Post install went great even with it, but I want to start fresh with HFS+ and do everything cleanest possible, with detailed instructions for other people with the same motherboard).

EDIT: Sorry people, decided to go with High Sierra instead.

well finally, I figure it out how to make almost all about PCI devices implementation, but I have problem with my Gigabyte RX Vega 64 Silver Edition, I still can't find it to work based on KGP ssdt-x299-vega.aml, I have try as far as I know to adjust everything based on my IOREG service information.

but I don't what is this numbers about, I have mark it : (maybe this the problem I face)

Are you using Whatevergreen.kext? If not implement it!

btw.. what means "not working" with few further details?

I have already use whatevergreen.kext

and about not working are :
1. my VEGA 64 PCI device implementation naming in apple system information is not working
2. seems like everything I set about my Vega fan speed doesn't have any impact, always max around 2400 rpm
3. what is this random freeze in the desktop? it seems like happen after I made a wrong input about ssdt Vega, but I have already deleted and reboot but it happen sporadically, the freeze things

I'm sorry if not appropriate
thank you
