Fix for failure NVIDIA Web Driver on High Sierra, black screen, panics.

Would really like to not have to reinstall macOS High Sierra again.
It is often quicker to reinstall than it is to troubleshoot.

Something is wrong, it is unusual to see DSMOS has arrived twice :

Figured that much, reinstalled twice since on first reinstall I accidentally updated to latest High Sierra which caused same issue. Just debating what to do now with a fresh Vanilla install for a GTX 1070, since I don't know if it was Nvidia Web Driver related or Lilu.kext or NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext related.

Edit: Gonna go about installing,
Clover UEFI Boot Mode with Emulated NVRAM v2.4k r4586

Welp, that gave me the same issue as before :/

Edit: Managed to resolve things, didn't install Lilu or NvidiaGraphicsFixup. Installed Nvidia web drivers, did need to tweak a bit in Clover Configurator and change from bootable USB to main drive. Appears all is well, now I think I just need to get CUDA dealt with and update somethings through Terminal and should be as good as new. :)

The renaming CUDA files to match my current driver version name seems to have worked. Thanks for this!

I feel like I'm a little late to the game but, going back to OP, I am stuck in the infinite boot but i was able to get into the macOS Utilities window and then I went into Terminal, I typed in the exact instructions that was in the OP, however, and it said "No Such file or directory"
I currently have an Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 DirectX 12 Nvidia GPU, I'm having a really hard time booting back to High Sierra. Does anyone have suggestions? I was thinking of reinstalling HS, in hopes it clears this reboot issue up.

From my post earlier: Here's what my Verbose keeps saying, It's my GPU but i don't really know how to solve this.
Any thoughts?

Just bought a Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB (referred to the buying guide), so I was pretty sure that everything will work. :( I tried everything P1LGRIM has said on alot of threads here on tonymacx86:

BIOS - Disable Integrated graphics - Set PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.

Boot with nv_disable=1
May need to update Clover
Install web drivers
Update web drivers to ensure that you have the correct version.
Config.plist - Do not inject Intel or Nvidia graphics and no ig-platform-id
Config.plist - Disable SIP completely - CsrActiveConfig 0x67
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
May need to emulate native NVRAM - Problem 6

Remove nv_disable=1 from config.plist
May need to install Lilu.kext , LiluFriend and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

Attached is my config.plist. It also says "NVIDIA Chip Model 8 MB" on the About This Mac window. I can only boot by using "nv_disable=1". And when I reach the desktop, I see that NVIDIA Web Driver is selected on the menu bar.

I've worked on this for 2 days since I bought the graphics card. I'm really don't know what to do now. Please help me :(

Hi. Did you solved the problem?

Same problem here with a new build:

-ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-G
-i5 8400
-Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060

Cloned my last High Sierra 10.13.4 and used this unified EFI https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...wi-fi-ac-build-w-i7-8700k-amd-vega-56.239969/

Everything works but the Nvidia Drivers. Reinstalled everything and glitches the login screen.

So I discovered today for those who might have an issue, I get a black screen after about 70% of the apple boot meter if my SIP is set to 0X00, whilst its set to 0X67 (Disabled) it works fine....
