[SUCCESS] Installation High Sierra on GA-Z77X-UP5 TH

My build description's installation procedures have not been updated to High Sierra because of the lack of maturity in High Sierra even after 10.13.3 was released. However, I'll update Thunderball when 10.13.4 is released.

In the meantime, please be aware that the MultiBeast configuration reflects my configuration for Sierra. Unfortunately, the MultiBeast Build screen snapshot is out of date, but the configuration list is not out of date for Sierra. It can be used for High Sierra if you can't wait for 10.13.4.

Speaking of updates, if you plan to upgrade your graphics card, the 10.13.4 latest Beta build is reported to have native support for AMD RX and Vega graphics cards. While the RX 580 and Vega series are the cryptominers favorite cards, and, thus, the prices are twice the original MSRP prices, the RX 560 can be had at a reasonable price. The advantage of these graphics cards is native support in macOS, unlike Nvidia whose latest drivers are buggy.

Hi,
I have Sapphire RX480, is it also native support?

Probably...but you'll have to wait for 10.13.4 to be released...any day now.

What is your problem?
Got it running with boot form my ssd without USB Stick.
Not booting without USB stick.
Used all suggested bios settings, UEFI mode.
If I boot from SSD it stops on the black screen with the white apple...

Not booting without USB stick.
Boot from your USB and when you get to the desktop download and run EFI Mounter and mount the EFI partition of your USB.
Copy the entire /EFI folder from the EFI partition of your USB to the desktop.
Eject the USB.
Run EFI Mounter again and mount the EFI partition of your SSD.
Delete the entire /EFI folder from the EFI partition of your SSD.
Copy the /EFI folder from your desktop to the EFI partition of your SSD.
Restart
You should now be able to boot from your SSD in the same way that you could previously boot from your USB.

Yes I can!
But have I missed something in the official guide? If not, maybe, it could be a good idea insert your post in the step-by-step guide.

Thank you so much P1LGRIM!

You must have missed something because my Thunderball system works like a champ.

It should be regarded as a workaround and not a solution.

Sorry I didn't readed all the posts. So you have with the same mobo working?
That's great, what guide did you used?

@sebideluxe
Hi, i hope you can help me as i have the same motherboard and processor ! I'm only using the intel hd 4000 but can't get it to work properly ! I've tried everything like ig platform kext but nothing ! Do you have a solution you'll be a life savior ! thanks

I am trying to follow this guide. I never updated out of 10.11 so I am trying to install from scratch. I removed my drives, connected a new 1TB SSD, made the USB with Install High Sierra & Unibeast but in the boot list I only see the drives I had before and neither the USB stick or the new empty drive. I haven't dived into this for 2 years so I am probably overlooking something dumb. Can you guys help?

As a bonus question, since I have F11 and the firmware updater doesn't work on Windows 10 (the other OS I have installed), what's another way to update to F12 (and should I?). I tried placing the F12 file on a FAT 32 drive but Flash can't see it.

Also, where do you put the USB drive for booting (I think they're controlled by a different chipset), the back IO ones or the ones that are in the front of the case (through a wire connector to the motherboard).

Hope you guys can help, I've been out of the Hackintosh game for a while and I can't quite remember it all.
