ALC892 No Audio Devices on Mojave (H97M-D3H)

Hey guys,
I've reinstalled to Mojave today (after having Sierra for a long time)
and I can't figure out how to fix the audio.
My motherboard uses ALC892, its an H97M-D3H board. [i5 4460-GTX750Ti if it matters somehow]

I've tried using KextBeast with the kext I have on my old Hackintosh install usb but it didn't work (it had AppleALC kext) =[
Also tried using Multibeast High Sierra's 100/200/300 Audio & Multibeast High Sierra's ALC892 driver - but the process didn't work as well. Also, after installing using Multibeast and mounting the EFI, I didn't see any new files under ‎⁨

So I was thinking maybe they were not installed at all, but when picking FakeSMC with HW for example, it did install and I can see FakeSMC in my launchpad.

B.t.w: is the launchpad laggy to all of you guys as well? or it's just me? I'm using the Nvidia Web Graphics already, everything is smooth but the launchpad. guess it's a beta bug

Installing audio options for newer (100, 200 & 300 series) motherboards that require different audio options to your Haswell board is going to give you audio problems.

100 / 200 / 300 Series Audio Support
Required for 100 / 200 /300 Series onboard audio. Adds Rename HDAS to HDEF patch to
Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist.

Mojave is in experimental public beta testing and isn't always supported by the tools and methods used for official release builds. When Mojave is officially released the installation method will change and the tools will be updated specifically for Mojave.

A USB audio solution is handy when working with Beta versions of macOS as it will let you have audio while you use a Beta version of macOS that isn't yet supported for all features as Apple continue to make changes.

I do us a plug n' play usb audio device, but I was still interested in fixing that

Try with the latest AppleALC and the latest Lilu, you might have to undo whatever Multibeast did first though and probably restore the original AppleHDA in S/L/E

Also add "-lilubetaall -alcbeta" (without the quotes) to your config.plist Boot arguments.

I have the same sound cars as you (ALC892), and its working perfectly under Mojave, you need to use AppleALC+Lilu kexts with the latest version in EFI folder in order to make it work, also there is no need to add -lilubeta if you use the latest versions of the above mentioned kexts.

Which versions of Lilu and AppleALC did you use? ^^^

My board has the ALC898 and I’m not having any positive results getting audio working on Mojave.

(Edit) Had success getting audio to work with latest vanilla AppleHDA, AppleALC 1.3.0 and Lilu 1.2.5 kexts, no boot arguments.

Thanks for this. Installed VoodooHDA.kext-2.9.1, after downloading from your link, using KextBeast2 into /System/Library/Extensions. Selected 7.1CH Audio line-out port, for Output in my Sound Preference. Works fine, BUT, for only one restart.... So removed VoodooHDA.kext-2.9.1

SUCCESS! Ran latest Multibeast 10.4. Checked the box to load AppleALC for Audio and pretty much nothing else. Have restarted a number of times and have Internal Speakers in Sound Preferences running full audio now!
