First Time Build, Video Editing Dual Boot PC

This is my first time building one I plan on using it for video editing, and maybe some light gaming, but I also want to dual boot Mac OS and Windows, but I’m curious if you think I should add anything or change anything? Because I’m really nervous about my first build and don’t want to mess it up! So any advice would be amazing!

This build should be compatible with MacOS High Sierra (and of course Windows 10).

What video editing software are you planning the use? This is where you should do some research before buying a card.

Video cards:
AMD cards have native support in macOS and work well for FCPX.

Nvidia cards need Web Drivers to work in MacOS and can be a little buggy at times. But some editing programs use Cuda Cores.

So it really depends on which editing tools you plan on using as to which video card to get.

MacOS has used AMD cards exclusively for several years and they tend to be easy to get working, plug and play for the most part. If you plan on using software updates and or Mojave then they make a lot of sense. You don’t have to worry or wait for software and security updates.

Nvidia web drivers ar not yet available for Mojave and you are limited to High Sierra or older software. Nvidia cards are great In windows though so it depends on how often you need MacOS for work or play. It’s a tough choice or not, you may be decided already but do a little checking before you buy the card. It may save you some headaches and frustration later.

I use Adobe Creative Suite but my most used applications would be Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop which correct me if I’m wrong the use Cuda Cores right? and is there an AMD card that would be compatible with this build? Or would I have to rebuild my entire system?

AMD card would not require any changes to System, but you probably want to go with Nvidia for those programs to take advantage of the Cuda cores.
